    1. SCOPE
    This specification covers the minimum requirements for Power cables, including the structure,
    performance, test and packing information of cables as manufactured by Far East Cable. Matters
    not mentioned in this technical specification shall be negotiated by purchaser & supplier.
    2. STANDARDS

    The cable which Far East Cable offered shall be designed, manufactured and tested according to
    international standards as follows:
    Cable Standards
    IEC 60228 Conductors of insulated cables
    Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated
    IEC 60502-1 voltages from 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) up to 30 kV (Um = 36 kV) - Part 1:
    Cables for rated voltages of 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) and 3 kV (Um = 3,6 kV)

    3. Application
    Maximum sustained conductor temperature during operation: 90℃
    Maximum conductor temperature during short circuit(5s): 250℃
    Lowest allowable temperature during installation(ambient and cable): 0℃
    Lowest allowable temperature during operation(ambient): -15℃
    Mouse proof and termite-proof

    5. DRUM AND PACKING

    Cable drum shall be of wood or iron provided with wooden battens or sheet iron to protect the
    cable from damage. After factory tests, cable ends should be sealed reliably, cable ends

    spreading out of drum should be given protection cover, which is not less than 300mm. Cable
    should be protected from moisture, kept away from high temperature and fire sparks, protected
    from over bending and crushing, and protected from mechanical stress and damage during
    transportation and installation.
    Each drum of cable adheres to eligibility certification of production quality inspection. In
    addition, purchaser’s and manufacturer’s information, cable information and drum information
    shall be stuck on or marked at outside face of drum.
