Raised Pavement Markers (RPM) are a safety device used on roads to improve delineation and
increase preview time, particularly under wet conditions. The correct application of these markers
have led to decrease in crash rates on highways.

Proven durability and adhesion are combined with advanced optics and optimal abrasion
resistance that delivers the highly retained reflectivity needed on roadways.

New Technology Molded Markers

Raised Pavement Markers (RPM) are a safety device used on roads to improve
delineation and increase preview time, particularly under wet conditions. The correct
application of these markers have led to a decrease in crash rates on highways.
Proven durability and adhesion are combined with advanced optics and optimal abrasion
resistance that delivers the highly retained reflectivity needed on roadways.

The best in class raised pavement markers manufactured by the most recognised manu-
facturer of Reflective Pavement Markers with features such as:

● C80 Abrasion protective coating

● BSI certified to be compliant with EN-1463
● Rated R1 and S1 according to BS EN-1463-2:2000

● Injection moulded from durable polymers to endure high traffic volumes

● Abrasion resistant coating provides enhanced retained reflectivity

Avery Dennison’s Reflective Delineator

This road signal device is made of mild steel by a roll forming process with powder coat-
ing of 40 micron thickness to protect against corrosion with Avery Dennison Type XI
OmniCubeTM orientation free retro-reflective sheeting, giving maximum visibility to the
commuter on the road. This product is engineered for easy installation and conforms to
the specified Indian Roads Congress (IRC) standard. It offers superior visibility in the
day or night under all weather conditions.

Better visibility on both sides is the key feature of this superiorly edged product for the
Indian roads.

Variable Message Sign (VMS) Made in India

Avery Dennison’s optically outperforming Variable Message Sign (VMS) system is a highly reliable
component of traffic management system. It is an interactive way to communicate messages and is
used to alert the drivers about dynamic changes in traffic arrangements and road conditions. This
solution enhances road and vehicle safety by providing real-time information and monitoring of specif-
ic situations like road closures, construction work zones, traffic volumes etc.

The VMS panel consists of LEDs which are available in three different variants- mono, two and
multi-coloured. The display panels are built with long life LED technology that is easily visible in all
types of weather conditions and the brightness is adjusted for both clear day and night viewing.

Avery Dennison in partnership with Delta Electronics offers customisable variable message signs with
DIP and SMD technology, conforming to the specifications mentioned in IRC 67: 2012, IRC SP 85 and
IRC SP 110.

1. The S.E. Barabanki Circle, U.P.P.W.D., `Barabanki on behalf of Governor of Uttar Pradesh invites the

4- The bids shall remain valid for acceptance for a period of Three Months from the last date of submission of
bids. Bids once submitted cannot be withdrawn.
5- A set of bidding documents will be available online from 15-12-2018 at 12:00 pm on website
http://etender.up.nic.in.
6- Bids must be accompanied by non-refundable fee as indicated in Column 7 of the above table, in the form of
Demand Draft on any Schedule bank, for amount indicated in favour of “Executive Engineer, Construction
Division-3, PWD, Barabanki ” payable at barabanki. A set of bidding documents will be available online on
website http://etender.up.nic.in.
7- Bids must be submitted online on or before 12:00 Noon on dated 20-12-2018 and the technical bids will be
opened online on the next working day, that is, on dated 21-12-2018 at 12:30 PM .If the office happens to be
closed on the date of opening of the bids as specified, the bids will be opened online on the next working
day, respectively, at the same time and validity of bid will be considered from the original date. The date and
time of opening of the financial bid shall be notified on website. The Financial bids shall be accordingly
opened online.
8- A pre-bid meeting will be held for each work online 17-12-2018 at 12.00 Noon at OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDING
ENGINEER, BARABANKI CIRCLE, PWD, BARABANKI corresponding to the respective package to clarify the
issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised at that stage as stated in Clause 9.2 of
‘Instructions to Bidders’ of the bidding document.
9- Bids must be accompanied with security of the amount specified for the work in the table. Bid security will
have to be in any one of the forms as specified in the bidding document and shall be valid for 45 days
beyond the validity of the bid. Bid security pledged in favour of “Superintending Engineer, Barabanki Circle,
PWD, Barabanki.
10. A bidder shall not be permitted to bid for works in the Circle responsible for award and execution of contracts
in which his or his spouse’s near relatives (defined as first blood relations, and their spouses) is posted as
Divisional Accountant or as an officer in any capacity between the grades of Superintending Engineer and
Junior Engineer (both inclusive)
11. No Engineer of Gazetted rank or other Gazetted officer employed in Engineering or Administrative duties in
an Engineering Department of the State / Central Government is allowed to work as a Contractor for a
period of two years after his retirement from Government service, without Government permission. This
contract is liable to be cancelled if either the Contractor or any of his employees is found any time to be such
a person who had not obtained the permission of the Government as aforesaid before submission of the
tender or engagement in the Contractor’s service.
