    DIALOGUE
    KATE : Hi guys welcome to my house. I’m so happy you’re here
    JENNY : This neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful I love it !
    KATE : Yeah I’m so happy to live here ! Please come in I can’t wait to show
    you my new house !
    JENNY : the hallway is really bright and spacious. I like it very much
    KATE : let me show you all the rooms we have downstairs room. Please
    follow me
    KATE : this is the living room with speakers, a coffee table in the middle,
    the sofa and two armchairs
    JIMMY : waow I love the colours ! It looks
    gorgeous !
    JENNY : I can see you have some nice family
    photos there
    KATE : yes that’s right ! Let’s move on to the
    next room
    KATE : this is the dining room we use it mainly
    on special occasions. We usually eat in the kitchen
    JENNY : the table is really large and the chairs are so elegant. I can see
    there’s a table cloth on the table. Are you expecting guests tonight ?
    KATE : that’s right my grandparents are coming tonight. So we’re going
    to have dinner here !
    KATE : come on let me shos you the kitchen now
    KATE : so this is my beautiful kitchen. My mum’s favourite area of the
    house
    JENNY : waow I think it’s lovely
    KATE : it’s not too big but we have everything we need : a sink a stove, a
    dishwasher, a microwave, a fridge. We also have many cupboards and
    drawers
    KATE : ok let’s go to the next room : the study
    KATE : this is the study, I usually come here when I want to read a book
    JIMMY : there are so many interesting books in the bookcase
    KATE : I can lend you a book if you like Jimmy
    JIMMY : really ? That’s so nice of you kate ! Thanks !
    JENNY : do you usually do your homework here ?
    KATE : no I always do it in my bedroom, my parents come here very often
    when they need to work on the laptop
    KATE : this is the downstairs bathroom.
    JENNY : it looks very nice ! I can see there’s only a shower here, there
    isn’t a bathtub
    KATE : the bathtubs are in the upstairs bathroom
    KATE : let me now show you another room the basement
    KATE : this is our special place, the rec room. Have a seat please
    JENNY : what is a rec room ?
    KATE : it means recreation room. It’s used for our free time. My dad loves
    playing billiards with his friends here. And we also watch TV and play
    different games with our friends.
    KATE : this is the laundry room. It’s pretty small ! Here we keep the
    washing machine, the ironing board and the laundry basket, the cleaning
    tools and the boiler.
    KATE : this is the garage, we also keep here our bikes and some other
    stuffs besides the car.
    KATE : uptstairs we have three bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Let
    me show you my bedroom…
    JIMMY : waow a bedroom in the attic ! That’s fantastic !
    JENNY : yes it’s under the roof so the ceiling is very low near the walls
    and high in the center.
    JIMMY : you have many great posters on the walls. Hey whose is this
    guitar ? Is it yours ? May I play some songs ?
    KATE : it’s mine, you may, sure ! This is the bathroom and that’s my
    bathtub.
    JIMMY : it’s so cool to have your own bathroom in your bedroom
    KATE : let’s go out on the balcony now !

    GRAMMAR
    Pour parler de l’apparence, de l’odeur, d’une sonorité, d’une sensation
    les Anglais vont utiliser les verbes LOOK – SMELL – SOUND - FEEL
    Ex : it looks really good (c’est beau en ce qui concerne l’apparence)
    It sounds good ! (c’est beau pour une musique par exemple)
    It smells good ! (cela sent bon pour un plat par exemple)
    It feels good ! (pour une sensation agréable)

    8- Essaye d’écrire 4 phrases en utilisant les verbes LOOK SMELL


    SOUND et FEEL (ex : these shoes look really great !) utilise les
    adjectifs positifs suivants (nice, great, cool, brilliant, fantastic,
    fabulous)
