    Executive Order No. 01


    Series of 2023

    AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL


    (BDC)

    WHEREAS, Section 106 of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government
    Code of 1991 provides that every Local Government Unit shall have a Comprehensive Multi-
    Sectoral Development plan to be initiated by the Local Development Council;

    WHEREAS, the same law provides for the organization of the Barangay Development
    Council (BDC) which is the Planning and Coordinate body in the Barangay;

    WHEREAS, with the assumption of the Barangay Officials on December 1, 2023, there is
    a need to reorganize the Barangay Based Institutions.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Hon. Servando D. Amora, Punong Barangay of Candabong,


    Municipality of Anda, Bohol by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby order:

    Section 1a. Organization. The Organization of the Barangay Development Council (BDC)
    composed of the following:

    Chairperson :Hon. Servando D. Amora - Punong Barangay


    Members :
    Hon. Fredneil A. Bersabal - Kagawad
    Hon. Al Jhon P. Felisarta - Kagawad
    Hon. Filoteo B. Bersabal - Kagawad
    Hon. Angel J. Tinio - Kagawad
    Hon. Cristobal B. Agua - Kagawad
    Hon. Jovenal J. Peligrino - Kagawad
    Hon. Maritess T. Elumbaring - Kagawad
    Hon. Elaisa Mae P. Delig - SK Chairman .
    Mrs. Mirasol Joy P. Amora - NGO/PO Rep.
    Mr. Cecilio B. Bernal - NGO/PO Rep.
    Mr. Richard Peligrino - NGO/PO Rep.
    Ms. Erlinda S. Escobido - NGO/PO Rep.

    Section 1b. Functions. The BDC shall perform the following functions:
    Mobilize people’s participation in local development efforts; Prepare barangay development plans
    based on local requirements; Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local
    programs and projects;
    Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.

    Section 2. Executive Committee. An Executive Committee shall be created by the BDC to


    represent it and act on it its behalf when it is not in session.
    The powers and functions of the Exec. Committee is provided under Sec. 111b of RA 7160.

    Section 4. Meetings and Secretariat. The BDC shall meet once every six (6) months or as often
    as may be necessary. The Barangay Secretary to be assisted by the MPDC shall head the BDC
    Secretariat which function is provided in Sec. 113 of RA 7160.
    This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
