Thank you for your continued membership of the IFoA. Together we can champion the actuarial profession

Before you pay

Please visit our subscriptions web page check that you are paying the correct subscription rate. Our membership
subscription fees for 2024-2025 have been designed around principles of fairness, welfare, and sustainability,
reflecting the benefits of IFoA membership, while delivering value for money for you and your employers.

Before renewing your membership, please check if you are required to submit an online CPD
Declaration. You will not be able to make payment until you have completed your online CPD
Declaration. You can complete the declaration under the CPD tab in your member portal. If
your employer is submitting payment on your behalf, you must still make sure you have made
an online CPD declaration.

Ways to pay

How to renew your IFoA membership

The quickest and simplest way to renew your IFoA membership is to log in to your member portal and select
membership from the left-hand menu. This will show your current active membership. Next to your membership you
will see the option of ‘renew’ or ‘action required’, please select this button and carry out the relevant steps to renew
your membership.

You can pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal. You can also pay by annual Direct Debit, bank
transfer or over the phone – find out how on the IFoA website. Note that UnionPay is accepted through PayPal.

We are aware that many banks now have extra security measures in place to protect you, so please ensure when
making a payment that you are using an up-to-date version of your internet browser.

You can check your paid invoices and previous purchases by logging into your member portal and go to the Payments
and billing then My Purchases section.

Keeping us up to date

If your contact details have changed please update them by logging in to your member portal.

Don't let your membership lapse

Your IFoA membership subscription becomes due on 1 October. A late payment surcharge will be applied
from 1 November and a further late payment surcharge applied from 1 December..

Please make sure we receive payment by 31 December 2024. Otherwise your membership will lapse, you will no
longer be a member of the IFoA and you won't be able to use any of our designatory letters.

The member declaration

In order to renew your membership of the IFoA, you declare and confirm the following:
I declare that I:
· do not have any concluded findings of misconduct or equivalent against me by any professional body to
which I belong or belonged, and
· have not been excluded from a university course or other further education programme because of a
finding of misconduct or equivalent against me, and
· do not have any criminal convictions

You are not required to declare any concluded finding or criminal conviction which is considered by local law, rule or
regulation to be expired, spent or a “protected conviction” (for example as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders
Act 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975 (as amended) or by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and
Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended)).

Please provide details of any relevant declared finding or conviction to memberservices@actuaries.org.uk.

I acknowledge that, as a member of the IFoA, I will be bound by the constitutional and regulatory framework of the
IFoA, which includes:

• the Actuaries’ Code, and


• the IFoA’s Charter, Byelaws, Rules and Regulations, and
• the IFoA’s professional standards (including the Actuaries’ Code, Actuarial Profession Standards, the
CPD Scheme and, for relevant work within UK Geographic Scope, the FRC’s Technical Actuarial
Standards, all as replaced or amended), and
• the Disciplinary Scheme.

Students and Associate Terms and Conditions

In renewing your membership, you acknowledge that the Terms and Conditions applicable to Student and Associate
members found here govern your relationship with the IFoA.

The Terms and Conditions are legally binding.
