Dear Parents,
In this month of March, the Catholic Christian community will celebrate the
Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord on 25 March 2023. This celebration
recalls the historical event of the Angel Gabriel appearing to the Virgin Mary and
announcing to her the great mission to be the Mother of the only Begotten Son of God.
It is a Marian celebration of her humility, obedience, docility, and especially her
motherhood of God and man who is Jesus Christ. May this celebration remind us to
be like our Mother Mary who is humble and obedient to the Father in Heaven. Let
us ask her to pray for us always to be obedient to God and respond to His call to
be stewards of His love and mercy to others.
For this month of March, we have another full line-up of programs and activities not
only in academics but also in Christian formation and student services – activities that
will surely contribute to the holistic development of each Andrean. Below are the
important dates, programs and activities for the month of March that need your
preferential attention:
3rd Quarter Exam – The students on March 7 to 10, 2023 will have their 3rd Quarter
Exam. We urge your children again to study their notes and references in preparation
for this important learning assessment for the third quarter.
Grade 7 Rite of the Sacrament of Confirmation – This will happen on 11 March
2023, Saturday, at 3 PM at the Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew to be administered
by His Excellency Bishop Jesse Mercado, DD. Prior to this, a recollection for the
parents and godparents of the confirmands will happen on Saturday, 4 March
2023 at the SAS Gymnasium, and general rehearsal of the rite on 10 March 2023.
Honors Convocation Program for the 1st & 2nd Quarters. After two school years,
the school will resume the conduct of Honors Convocation program for the 1 st and
2nd Quarters. The program will happen on 16 March 2023 for Senior High School
and Grade School, and on 17 March 2023 for Junior High School. This
convocation is to recognize student-achievers for the first 2 quarters of the school
year.
3rd Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference and Viewing of Grades – On 1 April 2023,
the school will hold its 3rd Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference. A separate special
circular will be issued in relation to this matter.
May this month of March truly remind us to be humble and obedient to the Father in
Heaven as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord this month.
Let us continue to glorify the Lord and remain faithful to Him. May you and your
family continue to be blessed this month of March!
