"Unemployment"

The Philippines' unemployment rate fell from 7.4% in October to 6.5 percent in November, the
lowest since the COVID-19 pandemic began, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority. More than
420,000 Filipinos will be lose their jobs in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 according to Department of Labor
and Employment(DOLE). The number of people who lose their jobs nearly doubled between January
2021 and January 2022. By January, the number of jobless from filipinos has increased from 2.4 million
in January 2020 to 4 million. According to recent data, the country's jobless rate increased by 8.75
percent during the first quarter of 2021. Nobody can adequately prepare for a circumstances like this.
Unemployment has a mental and emotional consequences in addition to affecting a households
economic stream. The National Center for Mental Heath (NCMH) reported that during the early stages
of epidemic, the number of calls to its suicide hotline more than doubled, with issues such as
unemployment and financial insecurity being mentioned as worries.

The Social Security Act of 2018 mandates the government to provide unemployment benefits to
private sector employees who were involuntarily separated from employment. Unemployment benefit
is also referred to as unemployment insurance or involuntary separation benefit. 1161. An act to create

creating and emergency employment administration and for other purposes. Self-employment,
women's self-employment, skill training for job advancement, and the urban wage employment

government contributes 25%.

Employment is a natural process that necessitates a number of economic factors from both the
public and private sectors. Furthermore, employment is more of an outcome of a larger process
involving product and service supply and demand. Students, however, have no power over them.
Starting a business and hiring people is the simplest and most direct way to alleviate unemployment.
Even for adults with enough experience and capital, this path is dangerous and demanding. The unusual
approach is to create a product or service that radically disrupts an industry (like Google and Facebook
have done) and then grow from there. An indirect method is to encourage economic and business
interests in high-unemployment areas in some way. This can be accomplished by locating key
transportation hubs (such as LRT stations or bus stops) or significant corporate districts (such as malls) in
those locations.All of these items are out of reach for the typical student. They are, nevertheless, a
useful guideline of the possibilities open to you if you wish to take the matter seriously.
