11. Scope / Objectives of the project: The project aims to create an
intelligent, IoT-enhanced smart grid system focused on two main areas:
real-time load shifting and fault detection. By dynamically managing
power distribution and quickly identifying faults, the system enhances
grid reliability, efficiency, and safety. This innovative approach
supports sustainable energy management and aligns with modern
smart city initiatives.

12. Methodology: The system employs an Arduino Uno for central control,
integrated with a Wi-Fi module for IoT connectivity. Power from the main
supply is managed through a step-down transformer and a PWM regulator.
Relays and switches control the distribution to various loads, with current
and voltage sensors monitoring the system. An interface via the Blynk app
displays real-time grid status, allowing for dynamic load management and
fault detection.

Note: In case of fabrication work in the project, an engineering

drawing with dimensions / detailed design should be attached to
the proposal.

13. Expected Outcome of the project: The project is expected to demonstrate

a functional smart grid prototype capable of real-time load shifting based on
available generation capacity. The system will also successfully identify and
respond to faults, showcasing improved grid resilience. Through efficient
energy management and fault mitigation, the project will highlight the
potential for smarter, more sustainable power grids in India.

14. Is the project proposed relevant to the Industry / Society or

Institution?

Yes / No: Yes

If yes, please provide details of the industry / institution and contact
details: In the industry, it addresses the growing need for smart grid
solutions that enhance energy efficiency and reliability. For society, it
contributes to sustainable energy management and can help reduce power
