SHOPPING

 Do you like shopping?


Yes, I really love shopping because spending time on my favourite and essential
things makes me feel relax and happy. I usually go window shopping with my
friends in my free time.
 Do you prefer shopping online or going to the mall?
Maybe, I prefer shopping online because it helps me save more time than going
to the mall to shop. Moreover, the prices when shopping online are sometimes
cheaper.
 Do you compare prices when you shop?
Yes, of course. I think many people are like me. But comparing prices when
shopping makes it difficult for me to find something with a reasonable price and
good quality.
 Is it difficult for you to make a choice when you shop?
Yes, because the quality of the items are uncertain when I go shopping and I
always try to find a reasonable price for that item.
 Do you prefer shopping alone or with others?
In my opinion, shopping with friends is very convenient. They will help me to
choose the best item. It’s very difficult to make your own decision when shopping
alone.
 Do you like shopping on the internet?
I love shopping online because it’s very time-saving and convenient, I can buy
anything when I’m everywhere.
 Do you have any favourite stores?
One of the stores I love is a clothing store called ''FM'', which sells clothes and
other accessories. The window of the store are full of colourful items like dresses
and shirts. I usually buy my clothes at this store.
 Which is the most popular place for shopping in your hometown?
There's a department store about 7km from my house. It's the most popular store
here, it sells a lot of gadgets and clothes. People often go to store to shop for
them.
SPORTS
 Do you like playing sports?
Yes, i really into sports because it keeps me entertained and in shape. In
addition, playing sports also helps me make new friends. Playing sports really
helps me relax and full of energy.
 How often do you play sports?
I used to play in all my free time but now i’m quite busy so i rarely play sports. I’m
planning to play sports more often to stay healthy.
 Why do people play sports?
People often play sports to keep fit and stay healthy. Moreover, playing sports
give them a chance to socialize.
 Do you prefer individual sports or team sports?
I think team sports will probably be more fun than individual sports because team
sports help us make friends.
 What sports are popular in your country?
Team sports are quite popular, most of the competitions are team sports such as
volleyball, football,.. In my opinion, football is the most common sport activity. 2
teams will compete against and score to win.
 Why do some people like water sports?
In my opinion, all water activities bring a very different felling, especially in the
summer. Water sports are very attractive to people like adventure.
 Are boys and girls good at the same sports?
I think no, the health of most girls is not as good as that of boys. Perhaps there
will be sports that boys can play but girls can’t.
STUDYING
 Where are you studying?
Currently, I am a student of Quang Trung High School. In the new school year I
will be in class 11a2.
 Is there anything you don’t like about your school?
The only thing I don’t like about my school is the facilities. Our learing object and
equipment are too old. This leads to them being unusable sometimes.
 Do you think that you’re a good student?
I consider myself a good student because i always try hard to study although
sometimes my score is not high. In addition, i rarely play truant.
 Do you like studying? Why / why not?
I really like studying because i want to pass all the exams especially when i get
full marks. But sometimes, I have a lot of difficulties and pressure in studying.
 Do you prefer to study alone or with others? Why?
Maybe i prefer to study alone because when i study with someone, i always can’t
concentrate. But sometimes, learning with others is also fun, we can exchange
knowledge with each other and chat to reduce stress.
 Where do you prefer to go when you need to study? Why?
I love studying in a quiet cafe, listening to music while studying and a good glass
of water next to me makes my mood better.
 How do you feel if someone disturbs you when you are studying?
I'm sure I'll be very upset, I'll even decide to go somewhere else to study if I can't
concentrate.
 What do you usually do in a class at university/ high school?
In the break time at school, i always surf the internet or talk to my friends but if i
haven’t finished my homeworks, i will spend all my break time to finish it.
 Do you prefer to study in the mornings or the afternoons?
I prefer studying in the afternoon, that’s when I concentrate the most. I can even
study for many hours but only take a little break. In contrast, I can’t absorb any
knowledge in the morning.
 Are you looking forward to working?
To be honest, I really look forward to earn my own money and help my parents to
pay the bills. In order to get a high-salary job, I’m currently studying hard.
TRANSPORT
 What is the traffic like in your city?
The traffic in my town is quite light so the air pollution here is not too serious.
Maybe because the place where I live is still a small town, traffic problems don’t
happen too much
 What is your favourite mode of transport?
I love the plane because it’s safe and comfortable. I can eat, drink and watch
movies on the plane. But right now, I’ve never been too far away so I haven’t
experienced the feeling of flying.
 Do you ever use public transport?
Sometimes when I go out with my family, we take the bus. It feels pretty good, I
always enjoy the scenery along the way and sometimes I’ll take a picture.
 Do you prefer public transport or private transport?
I prefer private transport because it makes me feel more comfortable and
convenient in my daily commute. Have your own transportation will be very easy
to go anywhere you want.
 How much time do you spend travelling on a normal day?
I don't know exactly how much time I spend commuting in a normal day. I usually
go to school mainly and it takes 15 minutes from my house to school. In a normal
day, the number of times I go to school and go home is not fixed.
 How often do you get stuck in traffic jams?
I never get stuck in traffic jams because where I live, there are few people.
 Do you like the transport system in your country?
I’m not sure about that, motorbikes in my country are very convenient, but it’s
easy to get stuck in traffic jams during rush hours, especially they pollute the
environment.

To be honest, i think not. I often stay up late and i rarely do exercise. Moreover, i
often eat fast food and skip the breakfast.
 Is there any bad habit that you want to break?
 First of all, i will start going to bed before 11 pm. I will also do exercise on a daily
basis.
 Is it important to you to eat healthy food?

If i catch a cold, i will take some medicines and go to sleep to recover my health
and if it gets worse, i’ll go to see the doctor

Maybe i will do more exercise and eat more healthy food. Another thing i can do

 Do you have a large or small family?
I live in a nuclear family with my parents and my brother. My family is wonderful,
they always give me love and good things. Sometimes we have an argument but
we make up soon.

I love eating out with my family. The feeling of enjoying delicious food with loved
ones is great. We usually go out to eat when we hang out together. Besides,
going to the beach with family is also very interesting, but we rarely do it because
everyone is busy with work.
 How often do you go out with your family?
Whenever we have free time, we'll hang out together, mostly weekend, we all
have free time. We often go out to eat together and then go to the park to
participate in outdoor activities. I love being with my family.

Yes, we are always happy when we are together. Although there will be
arguments sometimes, it is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better.

I am more similar to my father. Some people said that me and my dad have a lot
in common from appearence to personality. I'm an introvert and I got that trait
from my dad. But sometimes I feel that I am very warm and kind like my mother.

I don't know which one I like more because when I go out with my friends, I feel
very comfortable because we have many topics to talk about. But sometimes, I
also enjoy spending time with my family, at such times I feel very warm and safe.
Both bring me joy.
WORKING AND EARNING
 What is your job/ dream job?
To be honest, i want to be a teacher because i want to work with my students
and teach them what I know. How wonderful it would be if I could help them
learn.

I think passion is more important, because when we do what we love, we will be
effective and successful.
FRIENDS
 Do you have close friends?
I have a close group of three friends. We have a very good relationship because
we always love and understand each other. They are my best friends ever.
 Who is your best friend? What do you like the most about her/him?
My bestfriends are Nhi and Nhu. They’re very kind and lovely. They always ready
to give me a hand when I need and they’re one of my motivations.
 How often do you hang out with your friends?
We hang out every weekend, it’s a time to socialize. We usually go out to eat and
find somewhere to chat such as go to the café. We often tell each other stories
that happened during the week, I think this is also how we keep in touch with
each other.
 Do you like making new friends?
I love making new friends because it's better than being shy with everyone.
Moreover, making new friends gives me the opportunity to expand many
relationships.
 How do you keep in touch with your friends?
We usually meet each other often through outings, when we can’t see each
other, my friends and I will text and video call to chat. But usually we have a face-
to-face conversation because we feel more comfortable without any obstructions.
Have you ever had a fight with your friends?
There were a few times that we had to fight often, but the next day we made up
easily. Now that we understand each other better, the fights are much less.
 Do you have any online friends?
Yes, I have a few online friends. They are very friendly and we have a very good
friendship, so we have been close for a long time. Until now we still can't meet
each other so we are keeping in touch by texting every day.
 Do you think online friends are real friends?
It depends on the longevity of the online friendship. If they really get along with
each other then sometimes it's a real friendship. In my opinion, having a long-
term online friendship is uncertain.
 Do you think friendship is temporary?
I'm not sure about this, but maybe friendships are temporary. Some friends will
leave us but if we are lucky, we will meet true friends who will always be by our
side.
 Do you find it difficult to make new friends?
I think no, everyone is sociable, so it's never been difficult for me to make friends.
We just need to get close and ask each other to be considered as friends.
HOBBIES
 What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I usually listen to music and hang out with my friends. We often
go out to eat and talk together. It’s great fun. Moreover, watch movies is one of
my favourite activities in my spare time.
 Do you think hobbies are important?
Yes, hobbies make us feel much better after stressful working hours. In addition,
hobbies can bring balance to our life with social activities.
 Which hobby would you like to try in the future?
To be honest, I want to take up reading book in the future. I think it will be a very
good habit because reading makes me feel relax. In my opinion, we should read
more books to boarden our knowledge.
HOMETOWN
 Where do you come from?
I was born and raised in An Khe town, Gia Lai province. It’s a small town but I
very love the magnificent landscape in this place.

The area I live in is a peaceful place and there are many amenities, for example
supermarkets, parks, hospital, etc, these have made my life more convenient. I
love my neighborhood, everyone here is friendly and generous, they are always
ready to give each other a hand when somebody need.
 What places of interest are there in your hometown? Where are they?
Where I live there is a historical site of King Quang Trung, that place is really
large and beautiful. I feel very proud of it. In addition, in my town there are also a
few public parks, people often come here to participate in outdoor activities such
as kite flying, skateboarding, etc.
 Where do young people in your town meet their friends?
Young people in the area where I live often meet friends at cafes because they
mostly want to meet each other to chat, sometimes they also go to the shopping
mall together. Going to the park to play sports with friends is also a great thing.

 How many languages do you speak?
Well, I speak Vietnamese, which is my mother language. Right now, I’m trying to
learn English to boarden my knowledge.
 Will you learn any other languages in the future?
Yes, I'm planning to learn Korean when I have opportunity. It's one of my
favourite languages. I want to learn Korean to travel to Korea.
 Do you think learning a new language is difficult?
Certainly yes. Learning a new language is really time consuming and difficult for
me because it very different from my mother language. I often encounter
language barriers while learning foreign language.
MUSIC
 Do you like listening to music?
Yes, of course. Music is my source of life. Listening to music is the best way to
relax and also motivates me to work and study. Sometimes I have insomnia,
music is the best solution for me. My life without music would definitely be boring.
Music is like a mental medicine for me when i have any problem.
 What kind of music do you like to listen to?
The kind of music I listen to is very diverse, for example piano music, lofi and pop
music. Pop music is my favorite genre of music. I'm a fan of BTS, their music
really heals my soul.
 Have you ever been interested in singing?
I used to be very passionate about singing when I was a child. At that time, I
wished I could be a singer. Until now, I still like singing but I'm a bit shy so I don't
sing much anymore.
