Introduction

their dignity, and build a society where everyone has the opportunity to flourish and succeed. The
prevalence of poverty amongst many societal issues makes it a crucial area of focus. We aim to
educate citizens about the causes and effects of poverty,shedding light on the challenges of an
unequal society. Ultimately, we strive to assist in bringing about positive change and development
within their communities. According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), understanding
poverty in the Philippines is essential and necessary. By comprehending its causes and effects,
policymakers can design effective interventions and allocate resources efficiently. The study of
poverty raises awareness of the challenges faced by marginalized communities, fostering empathy
and mobilizing support for poverty-alleviation initiatives. Addressing poverty is vital for overall
economic growth. Poverty hinders human capital development, reduces productivity, and leads to
societal unrest.
II. Purpose
Studying poverty isn't just something we do because it's interesting; it's something we
must do if we want a better world. Imagine a future where everyone has a chance to succeed, to
live a good life, to reach their full potential. That's the future we're aiming for, and understanding
poverty is the key to making it happen. Think of it this way: poverty isn't just a problem for those
who experience it, it's a problem for all of us. When people are struggling to make ends meet, they
can't contribute their talents and skills to society. They can't build businesses, get good educations,
or fully participate in our communities. And that holds all of us back.
So, how do we solve this? How do we create a future where everyone has a chance to
thrive? By studying poverty, we gain a deeper understanding of its causes, its consequences, and
what we can do to address it. This isn't about simply handing out money; it's about building a more
just and equitable world, where everyone has a fair chance to reach their full potential. The time
and effort we put into studying poverty is an investment in a brighter future. It's an investment in a
world where everyone has a chance to succeed, where everyone can contribute, and where
everyone can live a life of dignity and opportunity.
III. Description
1. Education and Training:
 Study hard: Education is the key to rising above poverty. Work hard in your studies and
complete your education as much as possible. Take courses that are in high demand in the
job market.
 Enroll in vocational or technical schools: Train for jobs that pay well. Apply to companies
that offer benefits and opportunities for advancement.
 Work hard: Diligence is essential for progress. Work hard, give it your best, and strive to be
productive.
3. Finances and Savings:
 Budget: Plan your expenses and make sure you only spend on essentials. Save money for
future needs.
 Invest: Invest your money in safe and profitable ways. Seek advice from financial experts.
 Avoid debt: Be careful with debt and make sure you can afford to pay it off. Don't borrow
more than you can manage.
4. Health and Well-being:
 Take care of your health: Good health is important for working and studying. Eat nutritious
foods, exercise, and see a doctor when needed.
 Take care of your mental health: Stress and depression can affect your ability to work and
study. Seek help if needed.

IV. Support
 The budget needed to build an effective organization or campaign against poverty

will vary widely depending on the specific goals and activities. However, a realistic budget
should include operational costs, program costs, and fundraising expenses. By carefully
planning, seeking diverse funding sources, and prioritizing impact, organizations can make a
meaningful contribution to the fight against poverty. But in our case, we're just students so
we just gain moral support from our friends, family and classmates and even teachers. This
