Truly, the exquisiteness of this gown amazed us–or the universe, rather. Nonetheless, the concept
behind it such as our culture and tradition made it more alive. As we enjoy the sight of its beauty, it is
also this kind of platform that is necessary for passing on our rich traditions and customs to the next
generation.
Diving into history, let's discover how this representation reflects our culture and tradition.
Advocacy 1:
We stand before you not only as a candidate for Mr. & Ms. Lux Mundi 2024, but also as a proud student
of the Institute of Business Financial Services, an institution committed into shaping the future as
responsible business leaders. Our advocacy focuses on a critical issue that impacts every single one of us
and that is financial literacy.
In this world financial decisions shape our lives. Many individuals, especially those from underprivileged
communities, lack the basic financial knowledge and skills needed to make informed choices
The lack of this skill, financial literacy can lead to debt, increase poverty, and limit future opportunities.
This cycle must be broken through dedication and empowerment.
As future business leaders, we have recognized the importance of financial literacy. Each and every one
of Tangubanons deserves opportunities for financial stability and security. That's why we are advocating
for the implementation of comprehensive financial literacy programs within our community especially
the underprivileged youth.
By empowering individuals with financial literacy, we can break the cycle of poverty, promote economic
growth, and create a more equitable society.
Financial literacy is not just about money, but it is about empowering individuals to take control of their
lives with wise decisions and build a better future. As your future business leaders, we are committed to
making a difference in our community. Let us make financial literacy a priority, and together, let us build
a more financially secure prosperous future for all!
Advocacy 2:
This advocacy tackles the pressing issue of the digital gap, where certain communities lack access to
technology and its benefits. This is a growing concern, especially in developing countries. We stand
before you today not only as a future business leader but also as a passionate advocate for Tangub City
that embraces the transformative power of technology. Our advocacy focuses on bridging the digital
divide, a critical issue that holds back our community's progress and limits its potential.
Our community has the potential to be a leader in technology and innovation. It also has the potential
to a strong entrepreneurial spirit. In order to realize this potential, we must address the digital gap and
ensure that every youth has access to the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age.
We envision a future where technology empowers every individual, and every community. Every
resident has the skills to navigate the digital world effectively, from online banking to e-commerce and
access to government services. Innovative tech solutions must be developed to address Tangub City's
unique needs, improving healthcare access, promoting sustainable agriculture, and tackling
environmental issues. We can invest in accessible community tech hubs provide access to computers,
internet, and training resources that fosters digital learning, and community development.
To achieve this vision, we will partner with local schools, and community centers, to provide digital
literacy training, teaching basic computer skills, internet safety, and online resources. We will encourage
IBFS students to develop innovative tech solutions that address Tangub City's specific challenges, such as
creating mobile apps for agricultural farmers, developing online healthcare platforms, more accessible
network services, or designing sustainable solutions for environmental issues. Investing in technology
and empowering our community, we can create a Tangub City that is connected and innovative. Let's
bridge the digital gap and unlock the fullest potential of Tangub City for the future generations to come.
Cultural Preservation Advocacy Speech 1 (LMC 2023)
Our identity is shaped by our culture. The culture of our ancestors was highly distinctive and
unforgettable in those early years. They've been doing a fantastic job preserving our culture. From
customs, language, and rituals that each represent a distinct chapter in a book that narrates their story.
The story, dance, and song passed down through the generations demonstrate the tenacity and
inventiveness of the human spirit.
It is unfortunate, but inevitable, to witness our ancient remnants and customs gradually being destroyed
by the forces of modernity. However, as members of the younger age, we have forgotten how to protect
our culture.
That is why we are advocating for cultural preservation for they are the threads that weave the fabric of
humanity. Our culture is not just a reflection of our past, but also a source of inspiration for our present
and future. It holds the wisdom, knowledge, and beauty of generations before us.
And in the face of rapid modernization, let us remember that our culture is not a relic of the past, but a
living testament to our identity and roots; roots that become the foundation upon which we build our
future. And, as we embrace the conveniences and advancements of the modern world, the lack of
awareness of preserving our culture has caused some languages, rituals, and other cultures to disappear
and slowly die out. A part of a human being's creative expression will be lost as well.
Hence, we want to empower the subanen youth by actively engaging in cultural preservation efforts.
Support initiatives led by young community members that combine traditional knowledge with modern
approaches, encouraging a dynamic and evolving landscape. And creating a digital repository that
features the subanen cultures like their rituals, traditions, and their history.
With this, let us embrace our differences, learn from one another, and work towards a future where
every culture is respected and preserved for generations to come, and promote a world where
differences are accepted. Together, let us build a legacy of cultural preservation that will inspire and
enrich the lives of countless individuals around the globe.
Cultural Preservation Advocacy Speech 2 (LMC 2023)
Cultural preservation is relevant to our society in protecting who we are at our core. It strengthens our
sense of connection to our rich past, our values, ideas, art, structures, and soul-fulfilling traditions.
The cultural preservation promotes global diversity that allows uniqueness of perspectives in every
culture. Each culture in the world teaches us a valuable lesson, and open our eyes to unique ways of
thinking and expression.
In the modern world of globalization, the lack of awareness of preserving our culture has caused some
languages, rituals, and other cultures to disappear and slowly die out. A part of a human being's
creativite expression will be lost as well.
I believe that promoting cultural preservation strengthens the feeling of oneness with one another, and
belongingness in a community. The preservation of our culture allows other people to experience it as
well. The wealth of the experience of different cultures is also recognizing what makes every human
being astounding.
