Erasmus Mundus:

A few years ago, it was easier to get into this most prestigious program in Europe, But now! a 3.9+ CGPA
is getting rejected. They have a holistic approach towards admission. Relevant work, research, and
extracurricular, all are taken into consideration. Scholarship amounts to 1000-1400 Euro/month. Be
careful while preparing admission docs, and read the acceptance criteria thoroughly at:

France:
• Scholarships: Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program (October 23-January 10, university-
specific scholarships (Like Uni Paris Saclay (May10-June)
• Timeline: Applications are typically due between November and January for fall intake

weden (Information from Mahmudul Russel Vai)
• One is SI scholarship another is a university scholarship (have to apply
independently/separately during application)
• 1st point: Please carefully select the subject according to your strong potential and relevant
GPA or job exp. Only 4 subjects you can choose for the MS. This might be all 4 at KTH or among
the full Sweden.
• 2nd: Arrange the subject priority according to the same importance (point 1)
• 3rd: Please check the acceptance ratio for the subject 4th: check the previous few years of the
SI scholarship list on that subject area. Does anyone get it or not. (SI scholarship is mostly
focused on SDG goals) so a subject relevant to SDG is highly recommended.
• Finally, though you are preparing yourself for higher student, do not limit to applying only to
Sweden.
• He recommended focusing on universities, like KTH, Stockholm uni, Chalmers, Lund, and
Uppsala. These are some good varsity in Sweden and big city to live in also. Select a subject
according to your interests. If determined about the subject, the choose same subject in
different varsity. That will increase your chances to admission on the subject definitely.
Norway does not provide any scholarships anymore.
Germany has a visa lag of 2+ years, I would recommend, taking a visa slot, at the start of 3-1.
Japan:
• I have little knowledge, but I will share what I know, there are 2 processes, the university
track, and the embassy track.
• University track is the same as the USA, you email faculty members, and either they take
interviews or the university takes an exam. The process starts from October to January/Feb.
KSA:
KFUPM:
• Tuition Fee Waiver
• No Application Fee
• Monthly Stipend 75k
• Annual Round-trip tickets
• Free Accommodation
• Subsidized meals(9k)
• Free basic medical care
• Ranked 101
• IELTS + (Can apply without IELTS, but need to sit for the exam, before 1st semester)
• CGPA accepted above 3
• Direct entry to PhD
• From start to flight, it would cost you about 60k (excluding market for yourself)

Now, if you have the opportunity to go to the US, go for it, whether it is for an MS or PhD,
another option is, to go for an MS at KFUPM, MEXT, or other European countries, then shift for a
PhD in USA, Australia, Germany. Decide first if you want to join academia, or industry, and make
decisions according to that. A high CGPA will give you access to every opportunity stated above.
So focus on that.
