34. A bird sitting on the top of a 80 m high tree. From a point on the ground, the angle of
elevation of the bird is 450. The bird flies away horizontally in such a way that it remained
at a constant height from the ground. After 2 seconds, the angle of elevation of the bird from
the same point is 300. Find the speed of flying of the bird. (Take √3 = 1.732).

An angle of elevation of a cloud from a point 60 m above the surface of the water of a lake
is 300 and the angle of depression of its shadow in water is 600. Find the height of the
cloud from the surface of water.
35. An iron pillar has some part in the form of a right circular cylinder and remaining in the
form of a right circular cone. The radius of the base of each of the cone and cylinder is 8 cm.
The cylindrical part is 240 cm high and the conical part is 36 cm high. Find the weight of the pillar
in kg if 1cm3 of iron weighs 7.8 grams.
SECTION – E
Case study based questions are compulsory.
36. A Math teacher drew the shape of a quadrilateral on the board. Ankit observed the shape
