Project Report:

Website Development Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Introduction:
This project aimed to create a responsive and visually appealing travel website using HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript. The website features multiple sections, including navigation, a hero section, destination
highlights, hotel recommendations, tour options, and a contact section.

Team Members And Roles:


The project was executed by a team of three members, each responsible for different aspects of
development:

Sanketh –

Provided the HTML and CSS code, structured the layout, and contributed to styling.

Mannan –

Created a domain for the website on GitHub, ensuring online accessibility.

Arvind –

Assisted with report writing and documentation of project execution.


Project Execution:

1. Planning Phase:

The team decided on the theme and structure of the travel website.

HTML was chosen for structuring content, CSS for styling, and JavaScript (if needed) for interactivity.

2. Development Phase:

HTML Structure: Sanketh created the initial HTML file, ensuring a well-organized layout using semantic
tags.

CSS Styling: Styles were applied using a separate CSS file to enhance the website's visual appeal.

GitHub Deployment: Mannan hosted the project on GitHub Pages for accessibility.

3. Finalization Phase:

The website was tested for responsiveness and errors.

Adjustments were made to enhance user experience.

Arvind compiled the final report detailing the project.


4. Important HTML Tags Used:

4.1 Structural Tags:

4.2 Metadata and Styling Tags:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> –


Ensures mobile responsiveness.

<title> – Sets the webpage title in the browser.


<style> – Embeds internal CSS for quick styling.

<link> – Links external CSS stylesheets and fonts.


4.3 Content and Formatting Tags:

<h1>, <h2>, <h3> – Headings for different sections.

<p> – Paragraphs used for text descriptions.

<a> – Anchor tags for hyperlinks.

<ul>, <li> – Unordered lists for navigation and other content.

4.4 Media and Interactive Tags:

<img> – Displays images of destinations and the website logo.

<i> – Used for icons (e.g., social media, location markers).

<button> – Used for interactive elements, such as the mobile menu toggle.

<div> – Container elements for various sections.

<script> – Used for JavaScript (if any functionality is added later).


5. Conclusion:

This project successfully delivered a functional and aesthetically pleasing travel website. Each team
member contributed effectively, ensuring smooth execution from planning to deployment. The website
demonstrates a well-structured HTML framework, enhanced by CSS for styling and interactivity. Future
improvements may include JavaScript-based enhancements for better user experience.
