DESIGN BRIEF
In an effort to reboot the Buffalo Emerging Professionals initiative, this committee invites the emerging community to participate in a logo design competition. It is our intention to redesign the image of the committee, establishing a rebirth for the organization and its future endeavors. The second goal of this competition is to generate more traffic to our new home for information regarding meetings, sub-committees, study groups, and other activities: www.facebook.com/AIABEP
The winner will be announced at the First Annual AIA BEP Mixer and will also be displayed on the AIA BEP Facebook page and AIA Buffalo/WNY Website.

Deliverable requirements must be followed exactly and include:
DESIGN CRITERIA
All design entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
PROJECT REGISTRATION PACKET (Include the following in a separate 9x11 unmarked envelope) Completed Entry Form (Detach Below) Concise narrative describing your submission. (200 word limit) CD with Digital Image Files of Design Entry [1] Adobe Illustrator File or Editable Vector PDF - 800x600 @ 300 DPI [1] JPEG or TIFF Image - 800x600 @ 300 DPI $20.00 Non-Refundable Entry Fee PROJECT DESIGN BOARD 18x18 Graphic with Matte finish mounted to 1/4 black foam core or gator board. VISIONARY POTENTIAL*
The committees purpose will always be to support the young professionals in the design community. How can a single image embody the Committee as it moves forward in the 21st century? Does the design represent the future potential of the Buffalo Emerging Professionals in a visually appealing way? Is the logo design potentially recognizable on its own without additional text or titles?
PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY
The logo will signify a professional committee for a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Does the design appropriately represent all parties associated?
REPRODUCTION VALUE
The final design will be used in all varieties of marketing materials for the committee. It will be included on everything from letterheads
FEEs
A non-refundable fee of $20.00 per entry. Please make all checks payable to AIA Buffalo/WNY.

PRIZES
Cash Prizes to be determined based upon number of entries submitted. Honorable mentions also to be distributed. Winning and Honorable Mention entries to be publicly recognized via digital announcement and physical exhibition at various AIA sponsored events including the 2012 AIA Buffalo/WNY Design Awards.
