Forced to keep the exterior volume of a cilinder of 35 meters of diameter and 50 m of height, the program is solved with the concept of journey, a road that goes by joining the different parts of the building (communal spaces, library, catwalk, exibition hall...), a metaphor for successful work in a school of this type.
The goal is a building on a plot of 50mx1000m, with a railway in the south and that runs parallel to the site. The program must develop 1000 houses in it, plus a series of public facilities and commercial areas. The proposal is based on a common internal space, a large street away from the problem of railway. The project develops a new primary school located in a parking location in the historical core of Bilbao near Basurto Genereal hospital. This place is a natural step from the city to the platform created for the hospital. The idea for the project stems from the importance of this place as a binding site, tried to reconcile the school use and the use of the public trails. The result is a building with a broken program but joined at a higher level. The project will also get interesting spaces, as a place usable by the school.
