Aim of the Dawah Mission Al-Quran Mission has a two-foldth aim: 1. To make Islam a discovery for Non-Muslims 2. To make Islam a rediscovery for Muslims and to revive the dawah responsibility in them B. Material of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan Maulana Wahiduddin Khan is an Islamic spiritual scholar who has adopted peace and dawah as the mission of his life. A recent book, The 500 Most Influential Muslims of 2009 by Georgetown University, Washington DC, has named him Islams Spiritual Ambassador to the world. His approach, the book points out, is popular among Indians, both Muslim and non-Muslim. Having made peace and dawah the mission of his life, he presents Islam in the modern idiom through its original sources Quran and Sunnah. For this mission the first step was to prepare Islamic material that addresses the mind of the modern educated people of today, both Muslims and non-Muslims. Accordingly he translated the Quran and wrote its commentary in Urdu that has been translated in English, Hindi and Arabic (Commentary). He has written thousands of articles and more than 200 books and recorded hundreds of lectures (in Urdu and English) on Islam as presented in the modern, scientific idiom. Many of his lectures are available in DVDs and hundreds have been streamed online. He has been a regular contributor of articles for newspapers, magazines and journals such as Speaking Tree (Times of India), Sunday Guardian and Pioneer since 1960s. To address the Muslim mind he established Al Markazul Islami (Islamic Centre) in 1970 through which he takes out a monthly magazine in Urdu, Al Risala since 1976 (it also comes out in English since the 1980s). Through these two institutions he has reengineered the minds of thousands of individuals based on the teachings of Islam. One of the most important means being employed by the dawah team is the use of the Internet. The Internet is the most powerful information and communication platform in the world today. The mission makes effective use of this platform to spread the message of the Quran and Islam through its websites, partner sites, blogs, newsletters, Facebook, twitter, etc. 1. Websites: mission sites www.cpsglobal.org and www.alquranmission.org and partner sites. www.cpsglobal.org The CPS Site has primarily been developed to address the mind of madu. The site introduces visitors to CPS International through a presentation and its brochures. It has Quran translations and commentaries and the archives of all material of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan as mentioned above. The site further has sections such Our Message, Our Activities, News and Events, Photo Gallery that further gives insight into the organization. The organization undertakes dawah through the site by offering a feature of Order Free Quran from which any person from anywhere in the world can order a Quran copy and it is delivered to their doorstep free of cost. To cater to this and to spread the Quran and Islamic material the centre is in the process of partnering with people across the world to open Quran Distribution Centre. We aim to have one Quran Centre in each country and one in each State of India. Many are already in place such as in USA, UAE, Maldives, Indonesia, Europe and India - Karnataka, UP, Punjab, Bihar, Jammu, Kashmir, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Maharashtra.
