Muller road. The streetscape at the Lodhi road front is not too densely fabricated. It has institutional building s such as Tibet t house, Air Force Bal Bharti School. Etc All the buildings on this road ,even though are big in size yet appear to be scaled down from the street because of the sub lane and off sets. The building is efficiently buffered from the busy I.H.C trafficated street by trees The building though totally in sync with its surroundings yet defiantly stands out because of its scale, proportions and the building material used. The massing of the building is articulated according to the context, the blocks adjacent to the housing areas are reduced in volume and the auditorium is set back substantially from the plot line to create a distinct identity.

NORMAL BEAM AND COLUMNS ARE USED IN THE STRUCTURE TO FORM THE BASIC GRID OF THE BUILDING.AT SOME PARTS EXPOSED FRAMING IS DONE AS A DESIGN ELEMENT. LINTEL LEVELS ARE EXPOSED. GRID OF BLOCKS ARE INTERCONNECTED AT THE TOP LEVEL BY THE BEAMS SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM STRUCTURES. THERE ARE OFFICE BUILDINGS FUNCTIONING AT EACH SUCH INTERSECTIONS. Stein is said to have remarked, It does not matter if the building looks twenty years old when completed. What is relevant is that forty years down the line they will still look only twenty years old. His comments gather significance as it was in the context of the material used and the finish of the exterior. STUCCO STONE The rich use of different material enhances the faade. The custom made tiles add color, variety and identity to the vertical circulation. The vertical band of tiles also helps in rain water drainage from the surface.
EXPOSED LAKHORI BRICKS STONE MOST OF THE EXTERNAL FINISHING IS BY CUSTOM MADE BRICKS OF 50MM WIDTH USED IN RAT TRAP BOND

Open roof like this Increases interaction with external spaces letting light and rain in and thus promoting coexistence of birds, plants, and small animals with humans
The Building is aided by an open to sky, shaded canopies over large paved courts that provide shade by means of pendant shade casting elements. Such shading reduces energy load on air conditioning and produces a improved climate for people and plant material. The semi-transparent rectangular panels (30*60cm) sunscreen canopies of sail material suspended from a space frame structure are aligned and oriented to provide shade to the pedestrians through the day

Vertical PLANTERS CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF PLANTATION HAS BEEN RESTORED AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE DESIGN TO MINIMIZE THE TFFECTS ON ENVIRONMENTAL AN DECOLOGICAL BALANCE TREES COMPARABLE TO THE SCALE OF BUILDFORM PRESENCE OF TREES COMPENSATES THE HEAT EMISSION OF THE BUILDING AND PROVIDES A NATURAL AMBIENCE UNLIKE MALLS OR OTHER CLOSED SPACES

The top two floors of the building have been projected twice. This results in a building shadow that is larger than its footprint
The courtyard acts climatically, being shaded by the space frame and the landscaping along with the vertical garden.
Vertical gardens Coincidence of natural and artificial habitat
Reduction of heat gain is achieved by keeping the openings on the external face to less than 50 per cent of the surface area, while strip windows characterize the facades around the courtyards. The door at the rear faces a foil built up to prevent direct radiation. open spaces and ventilators are used to ensure plenty of natural air and lighting.
The form provides a physical environment which serves as a catalyst for an interrelationship between individual and institutions working in diverse habitat related felids to optimize their effectiveness
