`Lets Go on a Museum Hunt!

Navigation Page

Ok everyone! We just returned from our trip to the museum where we got the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt in order to help return the museums prized items back to where they belong for Dr. Green.

Before we left, we were told about an old treasure mad that Dr. Green saw on a boat trip to Mexico.

Calling All Treasure Hunters! Knowing that our class has recently been studying about the geography and culture of South America, Dr. Green has enlisted our help as her guides to uncover the hidden treasures of Grey Beard the Pirate!

In order to accomplish our mission, Dr. Green has provided us with a drawn copy of the map, based on her recollections.

We were also told that the treasure is believed to have been divided among four different countries in order to prevent one single individual from finding the entire prize and using the vast riches for evil purposes!

Our Mission!! Before we embark on this dangerous mission, we will first divide up in four different groups, each researching one of the four countries. You will then answer provided questions about the area, and create a poster to present demonstrating the geographic features and major cultural aspects in order to guide us on our journey through South America.

Good Luck Treasure Hunters!!

Big Idea: Cultures and Societies Culture is the way of life shared by a group of people, including their ideas and traditions. Cultures reflect the values and beliefs of groups in different ways (e.g., art, music, literature, religion); however, there are universals connecting all cultures. Culture influences viewpoints, rules, and institutions in a global society.
