Introduction: What is Pollution? Pollution is the introduction of contaminants() into the natural environment that cause adverse() change.Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances or naturally occurring contaminants.

At 11 March 2014 Cikgu Elizah gave us a work,we have to do a folio which is about the source of pollution.Teacher has taught us how to do,she gave us see the example of how our senior done it before. After that we started to search the information of our topic,When we have collected the information we started to do our folio as soon as we can.

Objective To understand what pollution is and the cause of pollution Learning outcome: We are able to:I. Explain what is pollution II learn the source of environmental pollution

Source of Pollution

Land Pollution

Water Pollution

Air Pollution

Sound Pollution

Land Pollution
what is land pollution? Land pollution is the destruction of the earths land surfaces, often directly or indirectly as a result of mans activities and their misuse of land resources.

Solid Waste
These include all the various kinds of rubbish humans make at home, school, hospitals, market and work places. Things like paper, plastic containers, bottles, cans, food and even used cars and broken electronic goods, broken furniture and hospital waste are all examples of solid waste.

Deforestation
Human cut down millions of tree for wood, construction, farming and mining purposes, and never planted new trees back. This is a type of land pollution

Picture of Deforestation

Water Pollution What is water pollution? Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water without enough treatment to get rid of harmful compounds. Pollutants get into water mainly by human causes or factors.

Oil Spillage Oil spills usually have only a localized affect on wildlife but can spread for miles. The oil can cause the death of many fish and stick to the feathers of seabirds causing them to lose the ability to fly

Ocean and marine dumping In some countries, there are deposited into the sea. All these waste types take time to decompose. When these end up in the sea, they harm sea animals and cause a lot of deaths.

Sewage Disposal Sewage is a mixture of water and humans waste and animals.Improper disposal of sewage can cause water pollution.Dirty sewage water encourages the growth of bacteria. These bacteria will used up all the oxygen inside the ocean causing unsuitable for aquatic life.

Air Pollution What is air pollution? Air pollution occurs when gases, dust particles, smoke or odour are introduced into the atmosphere in a way that makes it harmful to humans, animals and plant.

Burning Fossil Fuels Cars and heavy duty trucks, trains, shipping and airplanes all burn lots of fossil fuels to work. Emissions from automobile engines contain both primary and secondary pollutants. This is a major cause of pollution, and one that is very difficult to manage.

Picture of Burning Fossil Fuels

Carbon dioxide(CO2 ) from exhausts and energy production Methane(CH4) from cattle breeding Sulfur oxides(SOX) from exhausts and industry CFCs from refrigerants and propellants Nitrogen oxides(NOX) from exhausts and industry Ozone(O3) from air with high oxygen level, catalysed by nitrogen oxides Soot and particulate(PM) from exhausts and industry

Sound Pollution
What is sound pollution Noise pollution is the disturbing or excessive noise that may harm the activity or balance of human or animal life. The source of most outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines and transportation systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, and trains.Outdoor noise is summarized by the word environmental noise. Poor urban planning may give rise to noise pollution, since side-by-side industrial and residential buildings can result in noise pollution in the residential areas.

Example of Sound Pollution

Summary
Type of pollutant Source of Pollutant

Carbon Monoxide
Lead Nitrogen Dioxide

Exhaust gas

Sulphur Dioxide
Dust,smoke and smog() Radioactive substance

Discussion 1.What are the type of pollution Ans:Land,Water,Air,Sound Pollution 2.What is the main cause of those pullution? Ans:Human activities 3.What can we do to stop the pollution? Ans:logic answer~ 4.What is the result of the pollution? Ans:Living thing Health problems

5.What will happen if the pollution won't stop? Ans:extinction of all living thing

Conclusion As a citizen of earth we have to protect and save our earth, leave a better future to our child
