    Introduction
    Adjective is a word that describes or modifies
    a noun or a pronoun.
    Adjectives answer these 3 questions :

    What kind ?

    How many ?

    Which one ?

    Fresh water
    Green backpack
    Spicy stew

    Three days
    Many nights

    That desert
    Those camel
    This jeep

    For example, in the phrase :

    Tall woman
    Tall is an adjective describing the noun woman.
    Tall answers the question which woman? or what kind of
    woman?
    Similarly, in the phrase :

    Easy assignment
    Easy is an adjective describing the noun assignment.
    Easy answer the question, what kind of assignment?

    Most adjectives can be used before the noun that


    they describe or after a linking verb :

    Some adjectives cannot come before a noun :


    Ex : alive
    Are her parents still alive?

    Forms of Adjectives
    Positive : describes noun/pronoun without comparing it
    to anything.
    Ex : Frozen yogurt is a light desert.
    Comparative : compares 2 nouns/pronouns
    Ex : Frozen yogurt is a lighter desert than an ice
    cream.
    Superlative : compares 3 or more nouns/pronouns
    Ex : Frozen yogurt is a lightest desert of the five on
    this menu.

    To form comparatives and superlatives :


    1. Adjectives of one syllable add -er, -est :
    Positive

    Comparative

    Superlative

    Cool

    Cooler

    Coolest

    High

    Higher

    Highest

    2. Adjectives that already end in -e only add -r, -st :


    Positive

    Comparative

    Superlative

    Nice

    Nicer

    Nicest

    3. Some words double the last letter :
