How to do it right….?
• Read the instructions.
• Find the key word/words/cue/cues in the
stem(question) and circle it/them.
• Read all the options given and do not
straightly decide the answer at the first
reading.
• Eliminate incorrect options and circle
the correct answer.

Some tips on how to answer Question No. 1
• Read the instructions.
• Look at the picture carefully.
• Note/ identify the characters/ actions/ activities that can be found in
the picture.
• Read the notes given.
• Identify verb or verbs (if there is any) from the notes given.
• Develop ‘WH’ Questions
– who?
• who is he?
• who is she?
• who are they?
– what?
• what is he doing?
• what is she doing?
• what are they doing?
– where?
• where is he?
• where is she?
• where are they?
• You may construct sentences in any of these forms or others.
– Simple Present Tense
• e.g.
The children are in the park.
– Present Continuous Tense
• e.g.
The girls are playing on the swings.
– Simple Past Tense
• e.g.
The children were in the park.
– Past Continuous Tense
• e.g.
The girls were playing on the swings.
• Remember that an attempt should be made…
– to construct compound sentences
• the use of conjunctions (and, because, so, therefore, but)
– to construct complex sentences
• one main clause of a sentence + one or more subordinate
clauses
• Check on your punctuations – spelling, commas, full stops, capital and
small letters, etc.
• Remember that no assumption should be made when constructing
sentences for this question.

Some tips on how to answer Question No. 3
1. Read the instruction because you may get some clues such as name of the
main character and brief explanation about the incident shown in the pictures.
2. Look at the pictures and understand the notes given.
3. Leave the words that you do not know.
4. You may not use all the notes given when constructing sentences.
5. You may jot list your own words but remember they must be relevant to the
pictures.
