Adverb Frequency
(every day, once a week…)
+ To ask about frequency, use the question
How often + do + subject + verb?
S+V+O “ every + day/ week/ month/ year, etc
once/ twice/ three times/ four times
+ a day/ week/ month/ year, etc.”
* The frequency adverbs normally go at the end of the sentences
E.g. She goes shopping twice a month
* Once = one time , twice = two times

E.g. How often do you watch films?


 I watch films every day.
 I watch films once a week .

Adverb of Frequency (Always, often…)

* To give a more general answer about frequency,


we use always, often, sometimes, not often,
never.
* With most verbs the order is
S + frequency adverb + verb
E.g. I sometimes watch TV on the internet.
* With verb to be the order is
S + to be + frequency adverb
E.g. She is always late.
