IV. Scenario
7.2 Magnitude Earthquake strucked all over
Batangas Province specifically Schools Division
Office and there are 188 employees present at
around 7 o’clock in the morning.

On the aftermath , numerous individuals


were reported trapped in the collapsed building.
V. Objectives:

This 2017 Contingency Plan mainly focuses on


taking specific actions to abate the impact of
aftermath of 7.2 Magnitude earthquake.
Purposively, this plan will serve as a guide of the
Division of Batangas in establishing the roles
and responsibilities of the concerned individuals
whenever disaster happens.
To ensure safety of all employees and secure office
sites and facilities.
Safeguard and ensure the availability of vital
materials, supplies and equipment to guarantee the
recovery of affected personnel/employees
To protect vital and lifeline facilities and ensures the
continuity of the organizations ability to function
after the disaster.
To elevate the morale and confidence of employees
when traumatic events/ incident occurs
To promote awareness to the Schools Division
Personnel in any unexpected calamity
To tap stakeholders in the implementation of DRRM

VI. Roles and Responsibilities

Agencies
TESDA  Man power

PNRC  Volunteers of the disasters service who respond to emergencies


by assessing the needs of victims and provides temporary
supplies of basic needs.
 Provide skills training to DO personnel and to the teachers.

LSB/PSB  Determine the annual supplementary budgetary needs for the


operation and maintenance of public schools w/in the province
Member Roles and Function

NGA’s(PDRRM) • Provide assistance to schools through local DRRM and
engineering office especially during emergencies.
• Provide capacity building/orientation on DRRM
• Coordinated especially when schools are used as EC to easily
access to different services LGU may offer

NGO’s  Provide financial assistance to schools for their environmental

VII. Protocols
( Duck, Cover & Hold) Activate DRRM team( immediately upon the onset of
earthquake)

Establish Communication with Provincial DRRM and or with the designated EOC

Alert all cluster members and Division DRRM as well as the SDRRM FP for
coordination and reporting

Tracking of all employees and officials

Organize meetings with partner agencies and EMT for immediate interventions and
response. Whenever there is a need, relocate to the nearest safest area

Alert Division Psychological First Aid Team for the provision of the same to identified
victim -SDO personnel

Monitoring and evaluation

Make recommendations for the necessary interventions , recovery and rehab

Assist the schools and facilitate their identified needs
