WHAT IS MARKETING?

• Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and


processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and
exchanging offerings that have value for customers,
clients, partners, and society at large.
• Marketing Penetration refers to the successful
selling of a product or service in a specific market,
and it is measured by the amount of sales volume of
an existing good or service compared to the total
target market for that product or service.
The objective of the project and research is to
know about the view of retailers in the villages as a
user about the IDEA and satisfy their queries and
make them understand the telecom business.

The users were found to be very satisfied with the
services they are getting and network is very good in
rural areas as well.

Among the shops we have visited almost 33% were


not selling any recharge of any company.

Most of the shopkeepers were not interested in


selling IDEA in their shops. FINDINGS
For selling SIMs (New connections) most of the
shopkeepers said No. They were not ready to sell new
connections as they find it very complex and face
certain problems.

Overall people were not very advanced and they were


not ready to cooperate and listen about the company
and things we were saying. Most who understood
about this were ready to start this business.
They should focus on to
the unlimited plans.
