    DEFINITION OF PASSIVE VOICE

    Passive Voice is a type of sentence


    or clause in which the subject
    receives the action of the verb.
    FUNCTION OF
    The Passive Voice is
    THE PASSIVE
    used to show interest in the VOICE
    person or object that
    experiences an action rather
    than the person or object that
    performs the action. In other
    words, the most important
    thing or person becomes the
    subject of the sentence.
    PATTERN
    KEYWORD : TO BE + V3
    SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

     To be + V3 Example :
    am/is/are + V3
     Active : I Love You.
     Passive : You are loved by me.

     Active : People make books from trees.


     Passive : Books are made from trees
    SIMPLE PRESENT CONTINUOUS

     Tobe + being + V3
    am/is/are + being + V3 Example :

     Active : I am reading the novel.


     Passive : The novel is being read by me.
    SIMPLE PRESENT PERFECT

     To be + have been + V3
    Have/has + been + V3
    Example :

     Active : She has send a letter


     Passive : A letter has been sent by her.
    SIMPLE PAST TENSE

     To be + V3
    was/were + V3 Example :

     Active : She didn’t invite me to the party.


     Passive : I wasn’t invited to the party by her.
    SIMPLE PAST CONTINOUS

     To Be + being + V3
    Was/were + being + V3 Example :

     Active : she was cleaning the kitchen floor


    while the children were playing the living
    room.
     Passive : the kitchen floor was being clean
    while the children were playing the living
    room.
    SIMPLE PAST PERFECT

     To be + been + V3
    Had + been + V3 Example :

     Active : I had studied English.


     Passive : English had been studied by me.
    SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

     To be + V3
    Shall/will + be + V3
    Example :

     Active : I will wash the dishes.


     Passive : The dishes will be washed.
    SIMPLE FUTURE PERFECT

     To be + have been + V3
    Will + have been + V3
    Example :

     Active : She will have been watching TV


     Passive : The TV will have been being
    watched by her.

    How Earthquakes Happen
    Earthquake is one of natural disaster that destroying a certain area the
    most. It recently happens in Tasikmalaya, West Java Province. Earthquakes are
    caused by suddenly breaks of underground rock along a fault. This sudden
    release a huge amount of seismic waves Energy. The ground will be shaken
    when it happen. When two plates or two blocks of rock are rubbing against each
    other, they will be sticked together. But, they don’t slide smoothly.

    The rocks are not moving but still pushing against each other. After
    several times, the rocks will be broken due to all the pressure that’s
    built up. When those rocks break, the earthquakes happen. This is horrible and
    we have to maintain our Environment, so there will be no earthquakes happen.
