    DNS Server
    DNS is a name resolution method that resolves
    host names to IP addresses and IP address to host
    name.

    DHCP Server
    DHCP is a service of windows 2000/2003 server which
    dynamically provide IP configuration to its client.

    FILE SERVER –DFS

    The Distributed File System is used to build a hierarchical view of


    multiple file servers and shares on the network.
    User instead of remember a specific machine name to access shares
    located in multiple computer in the network, the user will only have to
    remember one name; which will give a list of all shares found on
    multiple servers on the network.

    A computer in a network that controls one or more printers, that stores


    the print-image output from users' machines and feeds it to the printer.
    The computer and its printers are known as a "print server.

    REMOTE ACCESS/VPN SERVER

    The server that is dedicated to handling users who are not on


    a private Network (LAN) but need remote access to the
    network.
    The remote access server allows users to gain access to files
    and print services on the LAN from a remote location.
    To use RAS remotely, you need a RAS client program to
    connect RAS server.

    POP3
    POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) is the most recent version of a standard protocol for receiving e-
    mails.
    It is designed to delete mail on the server as soon as the user has downloaded it to local pc.
    IMAP4
    Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) is the most recent version of a standard protocol for
    receiving e-mails.
    It is designed to retaining a copy of mails on server and download a copy to local pc.
    SMTP
    SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a standard protocol used for transferring e-mail across the
    Internet.
