INTRODUCTION
How Solar Energy Works
Solar energy is technology that takes
advantage of the sun's rays to generate heat
or electricity. It is infinitely renewable and
unique in its ability to generate energy in a
quiet, clean and consistent manner. Solar
energy is harnessed by an integration of
Photocoltaic (PV) systems which are made
up of solar panels, inverters, batteries,
charge controllers or regulators and cables.
PHOTOVOLTAIC Cell (PV)
Photovoltaic cells absorb sunlight and
converts into electricity. Pure silicon is
“doped” with minute amounts of other
elements such as boron and phosphorus,
which produces positive and negative type
semiconductor materials, respectively.
Putting the two materials in contact with
one another creates a built-in potential
field. When light touches this
semiconductor device, the energy of the
sunlight frees electrons that move out of
the cell (due to the potential field) into
wires that form an electrical circuit.
Some Duties Of A Business Developer Includes:
• Generating new leads with the aim of creating more

sales
• Scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering
presentation to the client, having researched their
business and requirements.
• Work on sales follow-up activities
• Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring
customer loyalty through excellent customer service
• Work as part of a team and closely with other
departments within the organisation
Personal Goals and Action Plans For The Business
Growth And Development Of A. O. Demarg Limited,
Abuja.
These Include:
1) Boost sales using innovative business strategies
2) Identifying new markets for Solar Energy Solutions
3) Building brand synergy, rapport, recognition and
good will
4) Penetrating new markets for solar energy solutions
in Abuja
5) Practicing win-win situations and business
relationships with clients at all times
Business Strategies
These are my plans to innovate in A. O. Demarg Limited

in order to achieve my aforementioned business
development goals;
1) Introduction of PV System Ownership Payment Plan

2) Introduction of a new product targeted at the grass
roots business owners called a "Solar Charge center"
1) Ownership Payment Plan
From my observations, most Nigerians and Nigerian
business owners make a buying decision when they
have the option of a payment plan.
I will coordinate the implementation of an ownership
payment plan that would enable the customer pay
for the delivery, installation and cost of their A. O.
Demarg PV system, via a method used by most
multinational electronic companies in Nigeria. This
method is successful as it is seen that many working
class Nigerians are happy to buy state-of-the-art
home appliances via a payment plan.
Action Plans
In order to achieve this I will take the following
steps;
i) Secure mutual agreements with a micro-finance
bank and a commercial bank to collect direct
transfers from customer accounts as when due
ii) Create promotional material to alert the public
on the Demarg PV System Ownership Payment Plan
iii) Start a marketing campaign to increase sales
2.) Penetrating the grass roots with a PV system
targeted at small scale businesses. E.G phone repair
shops called a "Solar Charge center". This small scale
enterprise is in existence with the business owners
spending a lot of money on petrol generators.
This form of petty business will be greatly developed

by the introduction of solar energy and the lives of the
business owners enriched thereby creating valuable
brand recognition and good will for A. O. Demarg
Limited
Action Plans to achieve this goal;
i) I will work with the R&D department to design such a
PV system
ii) I will start a marketing campaign to sensitize the
small scale enterprise and the grass roots
CONCLUSION
Solar energy is technology that if adopted will

greatly reduce the effects of epilectic power
supply and climate change to create a better
future for coming generations.
I am able and willing to work smart and tirelessly

towards the growth of A. O. Demarg Limited and
beat sales targets.
