The term of “Junk Food”

• Junk = old or useless


•Food = things that people eat
The food at fast-food restaurants is called "junk food" due to the diseases
that can cause on the digestive system on long-term.

Junk Food – Fat and calories

- One Hamburger = 280 calories, 10g fat


- One medium portion of fries = 540 calories, 26g fat
- One medium Hot dog = 240 calories, 15g fat
- Medium size Pizza = 1080 calories, 42g fat
 DID YOU KNOW THAT:
-Junk food products are tasty, affordable, and some of them are
found everywhere. In fact, “the meal" junk food is very poor in
nutritional value but high in fat, salt, sugar, additives and chemical
dyes and contains a lot of calories.
-Among the negative effects of excessive consumption of junk food
products on the human body are included.

ARE WE EATING “FAST”, OR HEALTHY?

• “Fast” dishes contain a lot of saturated fats.


• Consuming such products can lead to obesity.
• Through the process of preparation vitamins are lost and the
metabolism loses the proteins and the necessary trace elements.

 Food should be appropriate (suitable) so that we consume brings the essential nutrients,
fiber and energy in sufficient quantities to maintain health and body weight.

 Healthy eating should be balanced, there must be a certain proportion between nutrients.

 A healthy diet should be calorie controlled to ensure weight control.

 
 Moderation in food refers to the possible excess of salt, fat, sugar.

 Food should be varied.

 Varied diet involves avoiding consumption of a particular food, even highly nutritious, day
after day, for long periods of time (need to eat food from all levels of the pyramid).
DO NOT FORGET THE SPORTS!

 To stay healthy and always have a smile is very important to do as much


exercise! Sport is therefore one of the keys that keeps us from obesity,
helping us to stay fit and keep a healthy lifestyle.
