1. Simple present
• Simple present expresses daily habits, or usual
activities also general statement of fact

Example:
a. Ann takes shower everyday
b. I usually eat lunch at the cafetaria
c. The earth revolves around the sun
Pattern
Verbal Nominal

1. S (I, You, We, They) 1. S + to be (am, is, are) + noun


+verb+O 2. S + to be (am, is, are) +
adjective
3. S + to be (am, is, are) + adverb

VERBAL vs NOMINAL

1. I am a doctor (noun)
• I go to school every day
• You study in a room every

2. Simple past
• Simple past talks about activities or situation that begin and
ended in the past (e.g. Yesterday, last night, two days ago, last
year etc.

• Example:
1. I ate an ice cream yesterday
2. She saw a rabbit in garden last week
3. We came to Kuta beach three months ago
Pattern
S+Verb2+o
Example:
 Dirga Purpratama went to Supermarket yesterday
 Suparto drank a cup of cofffee last week
 Bagus sent a letter to the post office two weeks
ago
3. Simple Future
Simple future: used to express the future time.

There are three kinds of it to use;


a) Will
b) Be (am,is,are) going to
c) Shall
Example:
I will go school tomorrow
She is going to make a brownise cake next week
I shall leave at nine tomorrow morning
Pattern
Simple future use will and Shall Simple future use be going to
S + will + verb 1 + o S + be + going to + o
Example:
He will eat hot dog in the park Example:
tomorrow  I am going to make some
bread
 S + shall + verb 1 + o  She is going to build a
Example: bookcase in her apartment
They shall leave at nine
tomorrow morning
4. Present Continuous
Present Continuous:
expresses the action that is
happening now also action
happening about this time but not
necessarily at the moment pf
speaking.
PATTERN

S + V 1-ing + O
Example:

 I am wearing coat today


 It is raining now
 She is reading an Englis book right now
 They are discussing about android program system
