Different bandaging

techniques
• Triangular bandage are usually made
Triangular of muslin. They can be made by
simply cutting it diagonally the 60 inch

base is called apex.
What is bandaging?
•  Covering a break in the skin helps to control bleeding
and protect against infection. Dressings are pads of
gauze or cloth that can be placed directly against the
wound to absorb blood and other fluids.
Cloth bandages cover dressings and hold them in
place.

Open Phase Bandaging
HEAD – Steps in applying open phase bandage to the head

Cravat Phase Bandage
A triangular bandage can be folded into a strip for
easy application during emergencies. When folded as
illustrated below, the bandage is called a cravat phase.
How to make a
cravat:
