QUOTE : “.... The Carribbean island nation of Haiti is
well familiar with weather-related disasters. The
country had not yet recovered from the havoc
wreaked by catastrophic storms in 2008 that left a
thousand dead and up to 1 million homeless¹ when a
devastating 7M earthquake struck on January 12 at
1653 local time (2153 GMT). The massive tremor's
epicenter was approximately 10 miles southwest from
the capital, Port-au-Prince, and at a depth of 6.2 miles

QUOTE: January 18, 2011 : “.... UPDATE 23:55 UTC : More precise
data reveal that Enggano is populated with 754 families and 2682
people.
The eastern side of the island has a lot Mangrove forests.
In total 5 different tribes are living on the island. A small airport and
a ferry are the only transportation possibilities to mainland Sumatra.
Enggano is trying to get the status of a National Park, because of his
unique nature and biodiversity.
As the island has almost no concrete houses and modern buildings,
earthquake shaking will probably not lead to injuries.  The major
danger for the population on the island are tsunamis which cannot be
generated with this limited magnitude.

QUOTE : “.....Tokyo (CNN) -- The morning after Japan was struck
by the most powerful earthquake to hit the island nation in recorded
history and the tsunami it unleashed -- and even as the earth
continued to twitch with aftershocks -- the disaster's massive impact
was only beginning to be revealed.
Rescue efforts began with the first light as military helicopters
plucked survivors from roofs and carried them to safety.
The 8.9-magnitude temblor, which was centered near the east coast
of Japan, killed hundreds of people, caused the formation of 30-foot
walls of water that swept across rice fields, engulfed entire towns,
dragged houses onto highways, and tossed cars and boats like toys.
Some waves reached six miles (10 kilometers) inland in Miyagi
Prefecture on Japan's east coast.....”. UNQUOTE .

QUOTE : CNN 11th March, 2011 : “....... The powerful
earthquake that unleashed a devastating tsunami
Friday appears to have moved the main island of Japan
by 8 feet (2.4 meters) and shifted the Earth on its axis.
"At this point, we know that one GPS station moved (8
feet), and we have seen a map from GSI (Geospatial
Information Authority) in Japan showing the pattern of
shift over a large area is consistent with about that
much shift of the land mass," said Kenneth Hudnut, a

QUOTE: “....  1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples
came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
 2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you,
There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown
down.
 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy
coming, and of the end of the world?
 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for
all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there
shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
 8All these are the beginning of sorrows..........”. UNQUOTE.
