Why need Blood and Infusion Warmer?

Hypothermia

 Anesthesia 1st hour : decrease core temp. 1 – 1.6ºC

 Intra- and post- surgery: if patient core temp. < 35ºc,

need 5h to back to normal

 Massive fluid infusion

 Elderly, weak, infant and children patients

Why need Blood and Infusion Warmer

Complications
 Shivering
 Decreased tissue oxygen

delivery,
 Cardiac arrhythmias
 Impair coagulation, so

increase blood loss

 Wound infection
 Prolong postoperative

recovery
 Impairs immune function

disorder
Why need Blood and Infusion Warmer?

 Enzymes moderate &

metabolize ⇨ temp.
sensitive
 Warmed Infusion

effectively
increase /maintain
core temp.
 Less thermal stress ⇨

infusion comfort

Step 3:

- Take the primed

infusion line at 2-3cm to
the end of patient side
to insert in the tail
(small end) of the
warming profile

Step 4:

- Move your thumb over

the infusion line and
press the line gently into
the groove towards the
head(big end) of the
warming profile, until the

Installation & Operation

Note :
If the Infusion tubing is too
short to fill the warming
profile from the beginning to
the end, it is necessary to
ensure that the patient end
(where the fluid flows out) of
the warming profile is filled.
The head of the warming
profile can be left unfilled. Of
course, a long enough tubing
ensures the heating effect.
Installation & Operation

Step 6:
- Press the key or to
select the desired
temperature
- Adjust the appropriate
infusion rate and press the
key to start

Note: Resetting of
temperature can only be
performed in Standly mode.
Installation & Operation

Note :
If the infusion needs to be stopped for more
than 3 minutes, press the key to stop
warming (Standby). By press the key again

pumps.
 Remove the consumable material from the

warming profile and dispose it according to the

relevantregulations.
 Disconnect the device from the power supply.

Clean and disinfect the equipment according to

instructions.
Maintenance
 After each use, if possible, please clean device
surface, fastening clamp and warming profile. Use
disinfectant to clean them periodically.
 Wring soft cloth with water or soap lye and use it to
clean device.
 Don’t allow cleaning fluids and disinfectant enter
ventilator of device.
 Disinfectants should be based on alcohol liquid
without oxygen releasing (with sodium hypochlorite and
1.4% bleach solution or < 0.2% acetaldehyde).
 It can’t be immersed in liquid and can’t be disinfected
in autoclave or by heat chemistry method.
