Don’t forget to use a/an before a singular noun (brother, sister, father,…)

• We use an before singular noun start with vowels : a, e, i, o, u (an older


brothrer)

After plural noun, don’t forget to add s /es


• We use es after a plural noun ends with x/s/z/sh/ch (boxes, cases, quizzes,
buses,…)
• If a noun ends with consonant + y -> ies (baby -> babies)
• If a noun ends with f/fe -> ves (knife -> knives, bookshelf -> bookshelves)
