MARKET PARTICIPANTS IN EQUITIES
An equity market is a market in which shares of companies are
issued and traded, either through exchanges or over-the-
counter markets. Also known as the stock market, it is one of the
most vital areas of a market economy.
Markets are all about transactions. Somebody buys, somebody sells.
In the equity market, trading keeps on happening at an incredible
speed. Investors are able to deal in shares in a fraction of a second.
Every day, thousands of crores worth of equities are transacted in the
equity market in India
WHAT IS AN ISSUER?

An issuer is a legal entity that develops, registers and sells securities to 
finance its operations. Issuers may be corporations, investment trusts,
or domestic or foreign governments. Issuers are legally responsible for
the obligations of the issue and for reporting financial conditions,
material developments and any other operational activities as required
by the regulations of their jurisdictions.
INVESTORS
An investor is a person that allocates capital with the expectation
of a future financial return or to gain an advantage. Types of
investments include equity, debt securities, real estate, currency,
commodity, token, derivatives such as put and call options, futures,
forwards, etc

Care must be taken when it comes to stock investments. Bonds are
low-risk investment vehicles with guaranteed returns,
while stocks involves more risk
