    About parenting in families in the Amerika
    1. Duties and responsibilities at home. as a child still given
    homechores.
    2. Respect children as individuals who are different from
    parents. This is what I feel is 'expensive'.
    3. Most American parents target their children to be out of
    the house before marriage
    4. Children are free to explore, parents are not parno.
    5. No matter how busy your parents are, at least take the
    time to update your daily life at the dinner table. It's like,
    the daily meeting is always at dinner. Whether there's
    good news or something serious to talk about, it's all
    settled and delivered at the dinner table.

    Education Culture
    Education Culture in Amerika Serikat vs Indonesia

    In Indonesia, private schools are generally not very well


    known, unless they have big names such as Bali
    International School or the like that have a high level of
    achievement. In general, Indonesians prefer public schools
    because they are cheaper.

    It's different in America. Although the cost is more


    expensive, private schools are ogled by the wealthy
    because private schools generally have a bourgeois and
    elite image. In terms of quality, there may be a slight
    difference, but not too significant.
    Education Culture in Amerika Serikat vs Indonesia
    The Indonesian education system has a distinctive feature, namely
    the system of majors from high school, namely science and social
    studies. And unfortunately, the prestige of majoring in science is
    better than social studies. This makes it seem as if the way of life
    is divided into 2, namely wanting to be an IPA or IPS person. But
    still, the Indonesian education system does not value the students
    themselves because of this system. Student is a wildcard, a Novice
    who has not obtained a Job and allocated Skill Points. With the
    majors, the school turns off the right of students to choose what
    they like.

    In America, students are given the freedom to choose any subject


    they like. Besides being fun, the system makes it quicker to
    recognize his own abilities. This is in accordance with the
    American liberal view
    Education Culture in Amerika Serikat vs Indonesia

    The education system in Indonesia places too much


    emphasis on theory. Everything is based on theory. Indeed,
    the school has a lab, but it is rarely used. Elementary
    students are taught material that far exceeds their reasoning
    abilities. Academically, they are good. However, when they
    were asked to practice, they were overwhelmed.

    Americans are different again. They have a high curiosity


    and scientific attitude. The education system is based on
    learning by doing or "learning by doing". If you visit an
    American school, usually in science classes, the lab will be
    crowded. In addition, in some schools, there is a charitable
    work obligation.

    Working culture
    Many companies in Indonesia are adopting a more flexible and
    unrestricted American work culture. In addition, many American
    companies have established companies in Indonesia. So what is the
    American work culture like?

    The American work culture is very different from the work culture
    applied in Indonesia. If the American work culture is individualistic,
    while the work culture in Indonesia tends to apply a system of gotong
    royong or teamwork.

    Daily Activity
    • The second significant difference between the two countries is
    about food. Some Indonesians find it difficult to choose their
    food in the USA. They are not used to eating western food even
    though some of it is healthy. The bread mixed with fresh
    vegetables and bread is a bit foreign to the Indonesian tongue.
    • Dinners in the United States tend to be casual and informal, so
    don't be surprised if you attend a banquet where the attendees are
    casually dressed. What must be remembered there is to start your
    meal when the host has invited you.
    • People in the east tend to dress more formally than in the west.
    Students there tend to wear something comfortable and tend to be
    casual. If you attend a job interview or job interview, of course
    you still have to attend in more formal clothes.
