6.SOLUTION
MIXTURE- is a combination of two or more
substances where there is no chemical
combination or reaction.

Mixtures combine physically in no specific proportions. They just mix.

Solids, liquids and gases can be combined to create a mixture.

Mixtures can be heterogeneous or homogeneous.

Heterogeneous mixtures are those where you can see each of the
components separately. A mixture of stones in soil is an example of a
heterogeneous mixture.

Homogeneous mixtures are those where you can´t see each of the
components separately.
SOLUTE- the minor component in a solution,
dissolved in the solvent.
SOLVENT- the liquid in which a solute is dissolved
to form a solution.
SOLUTION- a liquid mixture in which the minor
component (the solute) is uniformly distributed
within the major component (the solvent).
EXAMPLE OF SOLUTION
SOLUTE = SALT
SOLVENT= WATER
SOLUTION= SALT SOLUTION
USE OF SALT SOLUTION
helps to cleanse pores deeply, balance
oil production and thwart bacteria that
can instigate breakouts and acne.
WHAT IS THIS?

GELATIN
WHAT KIND OF MIXTURE IS GELATIN?
GELATIN IS A COLLOID
COLLOID- a homogeneous,
noncrystalline substance consisting of
large molecules or ultramicroscopic
particles of one substance dispersed
through a second substance. Colloids
include gels, sols, and emulsions; the
particles do not settle and cannot be
separated out by ordinary filtering or
centrifuging like those in a suspension.
