VIRTUAL IMMERSION AND LEARNING INSIGHTS During our work job immersion I observed things that caught my attention from the Sgt.Arazo and her colleague. I was able to listen very well because of their inspirational story from were they came from and up until they became successful in their lives. Most of them really motivates individual to pursue and go to reach for our dreams and for our career. They want to make us feel that being a self motivated is one of the best thing that makes your journey to continue. They want that their students would really learned something, gain information, guidelines and patterns to proceed for our aim in life. Sgt. Arazo says that the most important thing that you have right now until the day come is you must have love for all the things you do. I really learned a lot of things from our work immersion and I enjoy every discussion everytime that we have meetings. Having this experience is really helpful because now I know what things that I need to be ready for this type of situation. I have learned a lot in this mock job experience and now I have to see what part of me needs to be improved and practice. In my work immersion and interview experience, I need to be honest and be specific always. Good communication skills, attitude, and motivation are very important to practice. Answering questions to the professionals must have a connection to the company or job that I am looking for. Having an interview with someone, I should have a resume and application letter that are clean and presentable to the interviewer. Patience is also needed to be practice in applying for a Job. After the work immersion, I have learned a lot from the panelists regarding to the profession or career we are pursuing. During each and every session we are mostly discussing about the salary, the benefits you can get, the possible dangers in the line of duty, and specific function of the different organizations under the low Enforcement Agency. There was one time that one of the panelists shared her experience to us from the start of her journey up until where she is today. And that's when we knew that being in that profession is not gonna be easy. You need to be strong mentally and physically bro handle the pressure at work. And remember Always keep your mind on top of your emotion During the virtual session with the professional police officers was a good experience for me to meet with them and sharing their journey about how they successfully get the job even though it’s just virtual but eventually I am so glad to meet them because i was able to realize and think about myself what will happen to me if i got to experience that, I was reflecting to myself 6 years from now. However its not an easy trip because i also need to face the future a head of me. It would be a challenging trip and "keep on going" thoughts because to be a able to get the profession I want is the focus on what's now and the near consequences. During the virtual immersion there's a lot of things that the military visitors had thought us one of those is the lesson that Philippine Air Woman Sgt. Arazo and the other militaries that Sgt. Arazo invited thought us about the importance of our passion like, what is the use of having all the things without the love of our profession, they thought us that if we really love to enter military profession we should feed our minds with positivity, according to them the path that they take is not easy they are risking their lives for us citizens. As I listened to their experiences during their training times I actually want to change my profession but the thought of Air woman Sgt. Arazo's words comes to my mind the love to our passion, once you enter in this industry I should really throw away my pride because sometimes our pride make our positivity into negativity. So , we should learn to believe and trust the process because our minds may change we didn't know the outcomes to our future if we make it shortcut. We should also think our parents who put sweats to make our future stable, If there's a opportunity that we might see ,grab it. Therefore, I conclude that all of them gives us the important values in life, take it easy and live life to the fullest because we live everyday with one life. Careers in criminal justice include law enforcement officer, lawyer, investigator, crime scene technician, court administrator and customs officer. On the other hand, careers in criminology include crime management officer, community work, and drug enforcement agent.
The work can be frustrating and can cause
feelings of guilt if clues are missed and criminals are not apprehended. Criminology is also intellectually tedious because it requires a lot of detailed record keeping and report writing, which can seem unrelated to real-world progress against crime.
