• Govt’s thrust on agriculture, water distribution and real estate to boost demand of PVC pipes
• 14 per cent of the organised domestic plastic piping market
• Market serviced by organized & unorganized players. The organized players service around
70% of the market. Their share is growing faster than players in unorganized market.
• Western and southern regions continued to witness their strong demand for PVC pipes in FY21,
followed by northern region. With several small unorganized players, eastern region continues
to remain underpenetrated
• According to the dealers, Astral continued its leadership in CPVC pipe segment during FY21
backed by strong demand from both project and retail segment. While Supreme continued to
witness decent retail demand, Finolex sustained its leadership in agri pipe segment. PRINCPIP’s
new CPVC flowguard pipe is aggressively competing with Astral in terms of prices.

7. Pricing

• Based on the resin price the price are fluctuate on the market.
• There is no stable price structure on PVC, some times based on the demand the price will get increase.
• Due to price fluctuate some sector will be affected, remaining they will change the brand based on the
pricing
• Example : The companies hiked prices by 3-5% in Apr’21 to pass on higher PVC prices. While the demand
for agri-pipes is expected to be affected to some extent due to higher prices, the demand for nonagri
pipes is expected to remain unaffected.
• Supply chain also made a vital role in pricing.
8. South Market

• Demand of the market very high on the PVC pipes, there are so many unorganized PVC
manufacturer are supplying
• But all special requirements fitted with branded PVC pipes.
• In south market especially Kerala, huge requirements of PVC pipes. They will purchase only
branded Pipes.
• Currently our dealer are not dealing with PVC pipes, we need to find a new one in the existing
market.
• Then only we can easily penetrate in the south market.
• Need to supply with Fittings and joints. Fittings requirement will be very high.
• Most of the companies are outsourcing for fittings and joints.
