to appreciate the things around you?
Today, our lesson will be all about our sense organs. We’re going to learn what
are they and their functions.
Video Presentation:
• What is the video all about?
• What are the five sense organs?
• Eyes
Your eyes are your sense organs for seeing. You use your eyes to see
things around you. You can tell the color , shape and size of an object
through your eyes.
• Ears
Your ears are your sense organs for hearing. Your ears let you hear
the different sounds around you like the giggles of your friends, the
songs playing on the radio and many more.
Imagine if you cannot hear any sound. Your world would be
different.
• Nose
Your nose is your sense organ for smelling. Your nose lets you smell
things around you. You probably enjoy the sweet smell of your cologne.
You feel hungry when you smell the adobo from your kitchen.
Why do you cover your nose when you smell a bad odor?
• Tongue
Your tongue is your sense organ for tasting. It lets
you taste the food you eat. You can tell the sinigang
is sour, you enjoy the sweet taste of mangoes too.
• Skin
Your skin is your sense organ for touch. What
makes you feel the heat of the sun? How can you tell
if your pillows is soft and smooth?
You can tell if a thing is soft, hard, smooth or rough
using your skin.
The five sense organs are:

1. Eyes – seeing
2. Nose – smelling
3. Ears - hearing
4. Tongue – tasting
5. Skin - feeling
Your Body Parts Work Together
Your sense organs help you observe the things around you. The
sense organs work with your other body parts. They work together
most of the time. When you read your book, you use your eyes to
see. You use your hands to hold the book. Other body parts work
for you to sit properly. If the body parts do not help each other, you
cannot move freely. You cannot do many things too.
Can you name other activities that use your body parts?

Is it important to take care your body parts? Why?

What are the functions of each sense organ?
