Statement of the problem
Difficulty of storing the documents neatly, files may be stolen by
thieves, robbers or internal attackers.
Difficulty of retrieving needed document timely.
Data redundancy is another problem in court office.
The detail of accuser, accused, witnesses, defendant and advocate
may be lost.
Time consuming to search information
There is file security.
Unauthorized person can access information about criminal case.
3
Objective of the project
General Objective
Develop web based Court information management system for Arba Minch City First
instance court office.
Specific Objectives
Identify the problems in the existing system.
Identify the type of system that would help solving the problem.
Understand and specify the requirements of the system.
To specify the tools needed to build the system.
Design the architecture and the interfaces for the proposed system
Implement a functional system and the test the system.
4
Scope of the project
The scope this project includes registering cases, whether criminal or civil.
Manage accuser and accused information
Record decision made for every case seen in this court.
System will generating report for on progress case and for finished case.
Provide fast searching of needed data.
It will store all data of the accuser and accused person into the database.
Provide secured database for user to access file there will be security measure
System will suitable system to give appointment and assign cases.
5
Feasibility study
Operational Feasibility
The project is operationally feasible which means can update information
every time in the system.
Technical Feasibility
We can say that it is technically feasible, since there will not be much
difficulty in getting required resource for the development the system.
Economic Feasibility
We will use simply hardware and software for developing and deploying this
system are highly available and can owned with small cost, the system is
economically feasible.

Document analysis
System Analysis and Design
The methodology applied for our project will be object-oriented approach. This approach as
it combined data and process together into objects.
The object could be the redefine and reexamined to meet system requirement.
Design and Implementation Methodology
The design methodology will be parallel because of the fact that parallel methods support
the use of the proposed system side by side with the existing system in order to test for the
system efficiency.

Testing procedure
Unit testing
Unit testing will undertake when a module created and successfully
reviewed .In order to test a single module we need to provide a complete
environment i.e. besides the module we would require.
Integration testing
In this type of testing, we will test various integration of the project module by
providing the input .The primary objective is to test the module interfaces in
order to ensure that no errors are occurring when one module invokes the
other module.
System testing
We will test the system using System Testing includes testing of a fully
integrated software system.
