Project title
Web Based Court Information Management System for Arba Minch First
Instance Court
Proposal Submitted to faculty of computing and software engineering, Arba
Minch Institute of Technology, AMIT, Arba Minch University in partial
fulfillment for the requirement of the Bachelor of Education Degree in
Information Technology.

Introduction
 Court is one of governmental organization established in order to
give services to the community through interpret the rule of law.
 But Arbaminch first instance court uses manual information
handling and managing methods.
 This manual method have many problem like loss of information,
data redundancy and so on
 To fix that our project is web based Court information
management system will applicable to provide good service for
customers.

Statement of the problem
 Difficulty of storing the documents neatly, files may be stolen by
thieves, robbers or internal attackers.
 Difficulty of retrieving needed document timely.
 Data redundancy is another problem in court office.
 The detail of accuser, accused, witnesses, defendant and advocate
may be lost.
 Time consuming to search information
 There is file security.
 Unauthorized person can access information about criminal case.

Objective of the project
 General Objective
 Develop web based Court information management system for Arba Minch City First
instance court office.
 Specific Objectives
 Identify the problems in the existing system.
 Identify the type of system that would help solving the problem.
 Understand and specify the requirements of the system.
 To specify the tools needed to build the system.
 Design the architecture and the interfaces for the proposed system
 Implement a functional system and the test the system.

Scope of the project
 The scope this project includes registering cases, whether criminal or civil.
 Manage accuser and accused information
 Record decision made for every case seen in this court.
 System will generating report for on progress case and for finished case.
 Provide fast searching of needed data.
 It will store all data of the accuser and accused person into the database.
 Provide secured database for user to access file there will be security measure
 System will suitable system to give appointment and assign cases.

Feasibility study

 Operational Feasibility
 The project is operationally feasible which means can update information
every time in the system.
 Technical Feasibility
 We can say that it is technically feasible, since there will not be much
difficulty in getting required resource for the development the system.
 Economic Feasibility
 We will use simply hardware and software for developing and deploying this
system are highly available and can owned with small cost, the system is
economically feasible.

 The methodology applied for our project will be object-oriented approach. This approach as
it combined data and process together into objects.
 The object could be the redefine and reexamined to meet system requirement.
 Design and Implementation Methodology
 The design methodology will be parallel because of the fact that parallel methods support
the use of the proposed system side by side with the existing system in order to test for the
system efficiency.

Testing procedure

 Unit testing
 Unit testing will undertake when a module created and successfully
reviewed .In order to test a single module we need to provide a complete
environment i.e. besides the module we would require.
 Integration testing
 In this type of testing, we will test various integration of the project module by
providing the input .The primary objective is to test the module interfaces in
order to ensure that no errors are occurring when one module invokes the
other module.
 System testing
 We will test the system using System Testing includes testing of a fully
integrated software system.
