What is the purpose of the harmonize
gender and development guideline?

• The Harmonized Gender and Development


Guidelines (HGDG) is a set of analytical
concepts and tools developed for integrating
gender concerns into development programs
and projects.

• It ensures gender equality and women's


empowerment results in programs and
projects
What are the parts of Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines?

The guidelines focus on


 (1) the process, (2) strategies, and (3) the
development and management results of
integrating gender equality and women's
empowerment concerns (see box 2) in various
stages of the project cycle, including (a) project
identification and design and assessment of
projects for funding; (b) project
