Objectives Of GPP:
Subjects and objectives:
1. Biology: Different modes of transmission.
2. English: Conduct a research and write a report on the causes and effects of
transmissible diseases.
3. Chemistry: Identify and list the chemicals having antimicrobial properties that can
be used in sanitization.
4. Business: The Impact of diseases on prices of health-related goods and services.
5. Math: Collect data on Coronavirus. Represent the data as line graph, Bar-chart and
Pie-Chart over the last two years.
6. ICT: Clear Powerpoint with no Issues and good presentation.
Biology:
Objectives:
List Different modes of transmission.
Modes Of Transmission:
Transmission of COVID-19 is common and known by a huge majority
of people. People know how to prevent the transmissions of this
contagious virus, but sometimes they can get these viruses (such as
COVID-19) cluelessly and they can’t predict it to prevent these
viruses/diseases.
(After this slide we will discuss what are the types of transmissions and
how are they transmitted.)
Types of transmissions:
There a 3 main types of transmission of Viruses.
Diseases or viruses are spread through:
1. Airborne (through air)
2. Droplets (directly on the victim)
3. Contact (Person to Person) (PTP)
1. Airborne Transmission of
Covid:
Sometimes when someone is infected, His infectious virus enters the air
when he sneezes, coughs, Laughs or even just by breathing. His virus can
stay in the air for a condemned amount of time.
Precautions are to be taken by others so that they can stay safe and stop
the spread of this virus.
You can’t stay contaminated in one area with an infected person for more
than 15 minutes as the virus will get hold of you.
2. Droplet Transmission of
Covid:
Infected patients are obliged to be isolated in their home
for a simple duration of time (Typically a week - 2
weeks). Covid can be spread by coughing or sneezing
which causes microbubbles (droplets), These droplets
that contain the virus spread in the air and sometimes
land on nearby people which then causes them to
become infected.
3. Person To Person
Transmission:
A person to person transmission simply occurs
when an infected person makes contact with
another person. When the infected person touches
or exchanges body fluid with another person it
will lead to transmission of the virus. A pregnant
mother can also transmit the virus to her unborn
child with this transmission.
Some of the diseases:
Some of the known diseases are spread using the transmissions
mentioned above. Influenza for example is spread by Transmission
2 and 3 (Droplet, Person to person). Pertussis (whooping cough) is
spread by Transmission 1 (Airborne transmission).
All of these transmissions are very easily understood and they are
common in our daily life. We all should stop spreading these
diseases and start taking care of each other and staying safe!

Transmissible diseases.
Diseases and viruses nowadays are transmitted to others with various ways. These diseases and viruses are caused
by organisms such as bacteria, viruses & fungi. Keep in mind there are bacterias that live in and on our body and
they’re completely harmless or even helpful for fighting other diseases. But under some circumstances or conditions
they could be pretty harmful.
Some infectious diseases can be passed from humans, non-humans, animals and insects. And you may even get
infected by ingesting food or drinking contaminated drinks. But does that mean you shouldn’t do all of these? No.
These things could be avoided simply by checking the source , date of expiry or where they were imported from.
Signs and symptoms vary from one disease to another depending on the organisms that’s causing them, Some
diseases or viruses could be treated by staying at home and resting, while other need life-threatening care.
So in conclusion, humans should always try their best to avoid diseases and viruses no matter what, because
diseases do more harm than good. But that doesn’t mean we should be stranded at home doing nothing, we can have
fun & prevent these diseases if we took the environment we are in into consideration and what harmless and non-
harmless things are around us.
