• The Similarities of Print Media, Broadcast Media, and New Media are:

• First, they have a wide reach of audience. For example, print media can circulate newspapers, magazines, or flyers to a large
readership, broadcast media, such as television and radio can also reach a great amount of listeners and viewers, and new media,

topics of interest.

• Third, they build a communication between people. For Example, print media, facilitates communication between businesses and
consumers through advertisements and articles. Broadcast media allows for real-time communication through news broadcasts,
interviews, and talk shows. New media enables interactive communication through comments, shares, and direct messages on
digital platforms.

• And lastly, all three types of media rely on machinery to transpost their informations. In print media, this object is physical, such
as newspapers or magazines. Broadcast media utilizes radio waves or television signals to transmit audio and visual content. New
media relies on digital formats, including websites, apps, and social media platforms, as the objects to convey information.
1. WHAT ARE THE SIMILARITIES AND
DIFFERENCES OF THE MEDIA YOU HAVE
ENLISTED ABOVE?
• The Differences between Print Media, Broadcast Media, and New Media in terms of:
• MEDIUM AND FORMAT
• – Print Media uses words, printing process, and is in physical form, it is limited to visual communication including newspapers, magazines, and billboards.
• Broadcast Media, uses technological devices such as TV’s and Radio’s, it is limited to audiovisual and audial communications.
• New Media, uses all forms of possible technological contemporary devices. It uses latest form of mass media is described through its forms and technology usage such as: computers, internet, digital devices, video and
online games.

• DISTRIBUTION AND ACCESSIBILITY
• Print Media – this type of media has become obsolete and fewer distributors and manufacturers produce these. The accessibility of these products have become nocturnal and are not common.
• roadcast and New Media – these type of media are easily distributed due to the abundance of resources coming from technological devices and social media. The accessibility of these medias are indeed common since
B
they have been the norm of information source for the majority.

• COST AND PRODUCTION
• Print Media – as mentioned for it’s antiquity, most print medias are more costly due to production costs and materials needed to produce for it.
• Broadcast Media – it is said to be costly since proper broadcasted media such as live news and radios require such apparatus such as cameras, mics, and etc, do be published for the public. Not to mention the production
costs of this modality which requires even editing.
• New Media - through the use of social media, the production of most information coming from this type is small to none. Most information that we provide in the new media are mostly free and free of charge.

• TIMELINESS
• Print Media- this type of media platform is already obsolete. Printing presses, publishing centers, and etc. have continued to evolve into a niche market due to the dominance of more non-costly digital means.
• Broadcast Media – this type of media will always be timely and significant for the mass. A majority of people, despite being reliant on new media, will always have the tendency to turn itself to the use of broadcast
media as a backup or a primary source of information.
• New Media- this type of media will remain to relevant for eternity. The word “new” will keep on changing and being revised to the point that it will the standard for all sources of information.

2. HOW DO THESE TYPES OF MEDIA PRESENT
ISSUES OR NEWS TO THE AUDIENCE?
• These 3 medias present issues and news through descriptive, videos, and photography.
Albeit different modalities of message dissemination, at the very base line of the context,
all of them use words to inform and elaborate the public.
 For the print media, they utilize text form. As the most common and traditional way,
used for centuries. Print media has used words to convey information and let the people
disseminate what they read from printed products. They use an inverted pyramid
structure with the most important items (the facts of the story) reported in the first
paragraph. Remaining facts are then presented in descending order of importance.
2. HOW DO THESE TYPES OF MEDIA PRESENT
ISSUES OR NEWS TO THE AUDIENCE?
 Broadcast media like TV or Radio give people the chance to see/hear and understand the story.
This type of media allows people to visualize the given situation or issue. T hrough the aid of a
reporter, the audience are able to comprehend not only through audial means but through visual
aswell. Broadcast media allows for clearer interpretation of one's subject. (This is due to print
media enabling people to perceive wrong assumptions when the text is not understood properly).
 The modern and contemporary media, combine the techniques of the said above. The new
media has a wide scope and may refer to numerous digital modalities of information
dissemination. For example, the new media may present issues in the form of e-news, or be even
broadcasted. To put things into perspective, the new media simplifies the conveyal of issues and
news and makes information more convenient for us. The new media still incorporates both the
broadcast and print media, however it is more accessible for the people for devices like phones,
computer, and etc.
