INTRODUCTION

 Human Resource Management is the strategic approach to the effective management of people in
an organization.
 HumanResource Management is “planning, organizing, directing, controlling of
procurement,development, compensation, integration , maintenance and separation of human
resources to the end that individual, organizational and social objectives are achieved .”
EMPLOYEE ABSENTEESIM

 Employee Absenteeism is the absence of an employee from work. It’s a major problem faced by
almost all employers of today. Employees are absent from work and thus the work suffers.
 Absenteeism of employees from work leads to back logs, piling of work and thus work delay.
 Absenteeism is one of the major threats to Indian industry.
NEED OF THE STUDY

 Absenteeism is a habitual pattern of absence from a duty or obligation. Traditionally,


 absenteeism has been viewed as an indicator of poor individual performance, as well as breach of
an implicit contract between employee and employer: it was seen as a management
 problem, and framed in economic or economic terms.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY

 The development of any organization depends on the employees. The study is conducted to
 know the various levels and reasons for absence of employees in an organization. By
 adopting corrective measures to decrease irregularities in the organization, leads to


organizational growth .
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• To study about the industry and company profile of AMBATI SUBBANNA & CO
OIL FIRM
• To identify the reasons for absenteeism in Ambati Subbanna Co ,Oil firm
• To measure the employees absenteeism level in Ambati Subbanna & Co ,Oil firm
• To study employees working conditions in Ambati Subbanna & Co ,Oil firm
METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY

 Methodology is a plan of action for a research project and explains in detail how data
 are collected analysed and presented, so that they will provide meaning information.
COLLECTION OF DATA

 The task of data collection begins after research problems design chalked out. Data is the
foundation for all marketing research. The researchers can obtain data form.

Questionnaires are prepared and personal interview was conducted.
  Secondary Data

Secondary data was collected from Internets, various books, Journals .


SAMPLING PLAN

 Due to cost and time involved in collecting the data from all the respondents, it becomes a
 compulsion to choose representation. Sampling plan explains as under,

The sample size for this study is 50 .


LIMITATIONS

• The study is confined to only a limited area.


• The limited number of respondents.
• The time involved in the study is too short.

• Manager will have to spend excess time on the discipline or find the replacement ofthe employee .

Indian edible oil import has grown at 8.4% CAGR over last decade. Broadly, the portion of refined
oil in the imports has been ~15% of the total imports. The remaining crude edible oil imported
is refined in local units. The existing duty differential between CPO and RBD stands at
7.5%,which provides protection

of manufacturing and marketing edible oils like sesame oil, ground nurice bran oil etc.
The firm operates its sesame seed crushing unit in Samarlakota in East Godavari district

Innocent absenteeism refers to employees who are absent for reasons beyond their control,like
sickness and injury
 Culpable absenteeism
Culpable absenteeism refers to employees who are absent without authorization for reasons,which
are within control.

SUGGESTIONS

Right attendance policy and set attendance expectations Older and more experienced staff are
generally less likely to be absent. So hire more experienced people Offer an attractive salary
package.Because highly paid employees are less likely to be absent, so offering an attractive
CONCLUSION

Absenteeism is a total man-shifts because of absence as a percentage of total number of manshifts


scheduled to work.It is calculated using various rates such as Absenteeism rate, Frequency rate,
and Severity rate
