Come, Holy Spirit

Leader: Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts


of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire
of Your love.
All: Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall
be created and You shall renew the face of
the earth.

All: O God, Who teaches the hearts of Your
faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant
us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment
in all things and forever rejoice in His holy

DAILY OFFERING
O Jesus, Through the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and
sufferings of this day for all the intentions of
Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
in reparation for sins, for the intentions of all
my relatives and friends and, in particular, for
the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

HOLY EUCHARIST
Development of the Eucharist

Christ instituted the Eucharist during a Passover meal held at


the Last Supper as a memorial of his Death and Resurrection.

At the Council of Trent (1545 – 1563) the doctrine of


transubstantiation was defined and the Roman Missal was
published by Pope Pius V.

CONSIDERATIONS
 Must be in a state of grace, no mortal sin (1 COR11: 27)

 Must receive Holy Communion at least once a year, in


Easter time

 Even if the bread alone is received, the whole Jesus


Christ is still received in His body, blood, soul and
divinity

 In the mass, the bread must be of wheat and the wine


of the vine. The mass is invalid if any other matter is
used.

• Correct words or form: Changing bread
and wine into the Body and Blood of
Christ by the words: "Take this, all of you,
and eat it: this is my body which will be

covenant. It will be shed for you and for
all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this
in memory of me.“
