In line with the general objectives of the Universal Health Care
to: improve streamline and scale up the reform strategies in HSRA and F1 in order to address inequities in health outcome, there is a NEED to strengthen the competencies of Nutritionist- Dietitians (NDs) in the country. This conference: will provide the initial orientation of NDs on Nutrition Dietetics Service Manual 3rd edition. will also highlight the role of the

partner in the provision health services in the hospitals and general wellness of patients. II. Objectives
General Objective:
a) To enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes
of hospital ND’s in attaining quality patient care through dietary management of lifestyle related diseases and other nutrition related concerns Specific Objectives: At the end of the conference the participants shall be able to: a) Learn and update hospital ND’s regarding issues and concerns on lifestyle related diseases b) Know and improve knowledge on current practices of Nutrition and Dietetic Services in DOH hospitals c) Know and capacitate hospital NDs on the current thrusts and concepts of the “HL to the MAX” program of DOH
