Before you read the passage, talk about
these questions
1. What are some different parts of the outside
of a car?
2. What kind of damage can happen to a car?

As you know, we had a storm last night. A lot of tree
branches fell. So some cars might be damaged.
Please check for dents or scratches on all of the cars.
Inspect the hood, bumper, fender, and door of every car.
Please also check for cracks in the windshield, side
mirrors, brake lights, tail lights and headlights.
Let's check for electrical or mechanical damage, too.
After you inspect the body, test the high beams and
wipers. They must work for all test drives.
Please report any damage in writing to your supervisor.
