The Andean condor, as its name indicates, lives in the Andean mountain
range, in the peaks and mountains at altitudes ranging from 2000 to 5000
meters above sea level.
causes of condor endangerment
• Their reproduction is very slow.
• They do not reproduce until they are ten years old.
• Each pair has only one offspring every two years.
• Contamination of the atmosphere, water, etc. As a result, this species
suffers losses and migrates.
• Death by poisoning.
• Trophy hunting.

• It can weigh up to fifteen kilos and measure one mater in height.
• It is scavenger bird.
• Can live up to fifty-five to seventy year.

wingspen of the condor is?
• a) two meters
• b) four meters
• c) three meters
It can have a wingspen of up to three meters when it opens its wings.
¿what happens if the condor becomes
extinct?
• the ecosystem where this species usually lives would be unbalanced.
• there would be more accumulation of carrion.
• there would be a fire of infections.
how we can help the condor not to become
extinct
• Educating the population not to hunt condors
• To make its importance known, due to its ecological role and ancestral culture.
• Financially support volunteers and conservation programs for the species.
• At the end of the 80's, efforts to conserve this bird began, in which some chicks
were taken and then raised in California and reintroduced in the Andes.
• At present, chicks are still being bred in captivity with the help of organizations
and then released into their natural habitat.
THE ARMADILLO
• Armadillos live in almost
all areas: plains, hills,
deserts, and humid
forests. They are not only
found in swamps or very
cold areas.
Armadillo Characteristics:
• 1. It has a shield or shell that allows it to roll up like a sphere.
• 2. It has a long tail.

• 4. Its tongue is thin in the shape of a pointed spear.
• 5. His teeth are cylindrical in shape and very small, which
according to studies do not have enamel.
Causes of the danger of extinction of the
armadillo:
• 1. Excessive hunting for the use of its meat.
• 2. The use of its blood in traditional medicine.
• 3. Hunting for its shell, for the manufacture of buckets,
boxes and charangos.
• 4. The greatest threat is deforestation that affects its
habitat, putting this unique species in Peru in danger of
extinction.
What if the armadillo goes extinct?
• It is very important to understand that
every time a species disappears, an
imbalance is generated in its
ecosystem, causing the death of
other animals or the overpopulation
of another species, which causes the
space where these beings interact to
undergo great changes that can even
affect us. US.
How can we help the armadillo?
• If you want to help the armadillo to
continue beautifying forests around the
world, denounce any type of damage
suffered by this species, including
indiscriminate hunting, avoid the felling
and burning of forests, which is one of
the causes of death of millions of
animals every year.
