 Latar Belakang Masalah
1. Produksi padi di Indonesia belum stabil menopang kebutuhan beras nasional
yang terus meningkat.
2. Tuntutan masyarakat kosumen terhadap kualitas tanpa mengesampingkan
kelestarian alam dan lahan yaitu dengan produk organic.
3. Sebagian petani sudah menerapan pertanian organik di Kecamatan Cibeber,
Kabupaten Cianjur. Namun, penerapan memperlihatkan keadaan yang beragam.
4. Keadaan faktor sosial ekonomi petani di lapangan memperlihatkan keragaman
antara satu petani dengan petani lainnya. Hal tersebut akan membawa implikasi
terhadap tingkat penerapan teknologi dan capaian hasilnya yang terlihat pada
produktivitas dan pendapatan.
